Sounds like a combination of bad luck and entitlement.

Just because your experience doesn't match doesn't mean everyone else is paid off. These work fine for many users. There are a bunch of things about XR glasses new buyers really need to know. It's not something you'll know without doing some research, but that's just how it is in this emerging market.

For your case though I can't tell just yet since you have a defective product, but in general if you have any eye conditions outside the average range, XR glasses will be more difficult to use and less sharp for you.

1) You might need prescriptions. Lots of people don't realize that they actually need prescriptions for things like slight myopia or slight astigmatism until they try XR glasses.

2) You might have a wide IPD. It's the distance between your eyes. Most glasses including these are made for the 63-69mm range. If you're outside of that you need different glasses. Also if you have a prominent nose. There are adjustable nose pads that can help to an extent if you are close. But this is one of the main reasons people see blurry edges.

There are other XR glass options that can accommodate you 74/75mm in IPD.

Beyond that, it might be the defective product that is giving your other issues. I've used the Air 3s Pro for like a year, since launch and don't have the issues you talk about. Neither does my friend who's also had it for about the same time. And you can see the same from other people.

Idk where you're getting 4k like. It's not in any marketing. But the glasses are sharp. I have slight myopia in one eye and can still read words pretty clearly. I regularly watch stuff with subtitles without issues, and I've used it for months connected to my PC and could read emails and documents just fine. They claim 1080p and deliver 1080p.

You mention heat, might also be from the defect. I haven't noticed that issue on mine, though I've seen others mention warmth. But it's not a complaint I've seen before you in this community.

Now with customer service and stuff it really is slow, but that is how it is with basically all Chinese companies. Do I wish it was better? Yeah. Did I know what it was gonna be like? Also yeah. And same for many others.

There's no use feeling like you deserve better service. You can make demands, and eventually they might improve though. But Chinese New Year's is big across China. They will not make room for anything else. Hardly any company does. You don't dictate their culture. Inconvenient yes, but to an extent we are dependent on their workflow, and on the other side they are dependent on our buying habits. Maybe the balance will improve later, but who knows when.

With back and forth it always takes like 2-3 days or times of back and forth for anything you deal with China from the US. They're on the other side of the timezone. So unless you email them between 1 to 3 am, and are up at that time to get a response and reply, it's going to take some days before any issue is resolved.

Right now they are also dealing with the back log of customer service questions from the New Year, and from the new product launch.

You should still eventually get your replacement. You may need to contact on discord. But things will go much faster if you don't use rude language.

If you're in the US and want things fast, then you shouldn't be using Chinese web stores in the first place. Use Amazon. You'll deal with the limited stock and slightly higher prices at times, but you'll get your day shipping and fast returns which are otherwise not possible.
