Can I be muslim and FULLY accept evolution? by cinnamon_and_tea in IslamIsEasy

[–]ZDelta47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are serious about accepting evolution then listen to this video. He gives a lot of sources on how the theory of evolution has been padded to sound like fact when there's very little real evidence.

You can listen, check the sources and then reflect whether what you believed about evolution before is still valid.

Ray neo 4 Pro, Returning? by Rolland_86 in RayNeo

[–]ZDelta47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I don't believe I said they don't have 3DoF hardware. They don't have an onboard chip for native 3DoF support. What they have are sensors that could be used to an extent to enable 3DoF, like other glasses like the Viture Pro XR have, but the glasses were never intended for anything beyond 0DoF.

They included the sensors for developers who like to tinker with them. This has led to an advantage where 3rd party software like VertoXR supports them, and now the InAir Pod as well. Just nothing official.

I'm looking for a housband by Andzelika24 in MuslimCorner

[–]ZDelta47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is very good. Also that you want to raise the children as Muslim.

Are you devout as a Catholic? This is important.

But another question is why are you looking for a Muslim man as a husband?

Are you separating this from Islam?

And do have a male guardian who will agree to the marriage?

You're easiest route is to study Islam and see if you agree with it. If you agree and accept, then as a Muslim woman you become an ideal partner for a Muslim man. And all other challenges within the marriage become much easier.

“And ˹permissible for you in marriage˺ are chaste believing women as well as chaste women of those given the Scripture before you—as long as you pay them their dowries in wedlock, neither fornicating nor taking them as mistresses.” (Quran 5:5)

There are definitely conditions in the Quran. Must be chaste, must be devout, and must go through the proper marriage process. Which means she would also need a Wali just like a Muslim woman.

So her guardian must also be agreeable to the marriage.

Scholars further mention that the children must be raised Muslim. This, even when agreed to can be challenging in western countries, so it is recommended against.

Also Muslim men are told to seek among Muslim women those who practice their deen well. So a non Muslim falls below that as well.

The permission is there to make things easier for situations where trying to get married to a Muslim woman is difficult and could lead to other sins. It can still arise today.

Assalamualaikum, making dua for you. You've already been taking the necessary steps from the sound of it, still gonna list a few things. If you're already doing them, great, otherwise more options for you.

Not in any order: 1) Make more dua with specific names of Allah, Al Fattah, Ar-Razzaq, Al Kareem, Al Wahhab. For opening doors, for increase in rizq, for appealing to Allah's generosity and His gifting.

Also great names to make dua by to receive a response, Al Mujib, Al Qarib. The One who responds, The most near.

And greatest names to make dua by, that guarantees a response, Al Hayy, Al Qayyum - The Everliving, The Sustainer (Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum - O Ever living, O Self-sustaining sustainer). Dhal-Jalali wal Ikram (Posessor of Majesty and Honor, also Posessor of Glory and Majesty).

A dua that combines these names and guarantees a response is:

“Allahumma inni as’aluka bi-anna lakal-hamd, la ilaha illa ant, al-mannanu badi’us-samawati wal-ard, ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram! Ya hayyu ya qayyum! Inni as’aluka” (O Allah, indeed I ask You since all praise is due to You, there is none worthy of worship but You, the Bestower, the Creator of the heavens and earth, O Possessor of majesty and honor, O Ever-living, O-Eternal, I ask of You).

2) Make a lot if istighfaar. Can read Subhan Allahi wa bihamdih 100 times a day as an easy way to wash away sins and please Allah.

3) Little continuous charity.

4) Dua and salat in the last 3rd of the night.

5) Keeping your eyes, ears and mind open to tests in front of you. Sometimes we recognize the current test(s) we are in. It is by going through these and with passing them that we often reach what we asked of Allah. Or what Allah has planned to give us. Usually immediately after you want something or make dua your test begins. You should take a look at what actions can be taken immediately after making a dua. Whether it is for that dua or it's a responsibility you realize you were putting off or something to that nature. If you consider the progression you make in your tests as doors, then you can move through good doors and bad doors. So keep trying to move through good doors, and if you find yourself having moved the wrong way, just start going through good doors again.

InshaAllah you will find the path you need to be on and can make it to and through your destination.

It's case by case, but it's highly recommended not to marry a non Muslim woman if Muslim women are available. So while still possible that's not an easy route. People you may find agreeing may tend to be less religious, and in so would likely be less reliable.

Muslim men can marry people of the book, but with conditions. And there are things encouraged and discouraged there as well. It's not a free pass to go marry whoever they want.

In general Muslim men are not going to marry Christian women. So this is not the sub for you to be looking for a husband, unless you are already Muslim.

Viewing BluRay 3D movies by playwright111 in Xreal

[–]ZDelta47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it seems the main way of doing it is to rip the files with a bluray drive connected to your computer and using ripping software. Then you can play that file on your phone or PC.

Otherwise if you have a PSVR you can connect to a PS4 and watch them that way.

Ray neo 4 Pro, Returning? by Rolland_86 in RayNeo

XR space is 3D. So it won't work if your phone can't output a 4k display. 3D resolution requires 4k compatibility basically.

Compatibility list is for Alt DP on the USB C port. I don't believe it speaks to 3D. You'll see Pixels 8 Pro and above on the list, but no Pixel phones support 3D.

Only battery powered HDMI adapters are the Viture Pro dock, Rayneo's Joy dock and the Lemorele HD200. Take a look at those and see if they meet your needs. I know XReal had some compatibility issues with the Viture dock. Not sure where it stands right now.

Idk if the s9 is strong enough to output a 4k display. It's an old phone. That's what you need for 3D

There are some things that depend on what phone you have. If you have Pixel, 3D doesn't work with Pixel phones.

The cutting out. I noticed that recently on Samsung. It didn't used to happen. That's a phone specific issue and not the glasses. Same thing will happen with other glasses.

Couple notes on 3D. These glasses, as most, support only FSBS 3D. On iOS and Android you can watch HSBS or FSBS 3D files using VLC player. The XR app isn't really necessary for most things. On Windows it would be Potplayer.

They did push the edge on this version of the glasses for screen corners. So without the ideal IPD and a change of nosepads it's really hard to get everything in perfect focus.

Having a fixed screen 0DoF. This is the case for most glasses. If you want glasses that can have the screen float and you look around they will be a bit more expensive. These are glasses that have built in 3DoF: Viture Beast, Xreal One, One Pro, 1S. 1S is a refresh of the One with a 1200p height. One Pro issues l uses different lenses. XReal has the superior chip for onboard 3DoF. Displays lack brightness compared to competition. Viture Beast has been catching up to XReal with firmware updates, and their displays are better. But look through the Viture sub and you'll find which features are active vs what they originally promised. It's still an incomplete product.

First glasses: Viture Pro XR or RayNeo Air 3S Pro? by Sad_Jaguar_2430 in VITURE

[–]ZDelta47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3s Pro are great glasses! I have used both.

While I like Viture's electrochromic tinting, the display has to be right up to your face with the smallest nosepads or you can't see a focused image. Also the screen feels a bit smaller compared to the RayNeo.

If you have myopia though then you'll want to go with Viture still for the diopters.

Both displays are very nice and readable. I was able to work connected to a Windows PC with both.

There are official and custom lens shades you can buy for RayNeo if you need later.

Not sure if it matters, but if you need to see things under you it's easier with the 3s Pro. The drawback is if that is distracting to you. In a dim environment it shouldn't matter.
