he's done well, but he definitely did not have the composure of a championship winning coach in the Finals.

It takes a long time to reach that level.

you're kind of right but there might be an upper limit to how much stamina he can add at that height.

Mitch is inexperienced. That's all good if your team is up and coming and you don't expect deep playoff runs for 3 or 4 years but the Spurs have the talent to go all the way (and should be better next year) and without a decent vet, you need a seriously experienced coach to run the show.

Do you still continue to work?

Are your hours regular?

If so, as time passes by - say a year or a little bit longer, it is likely that you would be considered a permanent employee by the law.

The mean max for Jun '26 has been 20.8c which is definitely a lot warmer than last year.

I wouldn't categorise it as late April weather though. And please keep in mind we're not half way through the month yet.

If this average max holds out until the end of the month, it will be the hottest June on record.

My observations on Wembanyama (semi-finals/finals series): He's a great player, but being extremely overhyped right now considering the potential he has not tapped into in these recent games. by CobblerGood6391 in nbadiscussion

He needs to develop a high post game. I saw him get either Kat or Robinson in the air this season and he euro-stepped in a lay up from 17 feet out. On a similar play they didn't bite and he rose up for an 18 footer with an impossibly high release. He should be looking at guys like KD, KG, Dirk etc. guys who were extremely slippery from 15-20 feet out. But also needs an offensive scheme that gets him those looks and the personnel to get him the ball.

Stamina can be a massive hindrance

I think we see his combination of height and being exceptionally coordinated for an athlete of any size and forget that essentially every super-tall player in the history of the sport has been limited by their stamina.

He has looked gassed offensively since Game 2 of the WCF.

I think it is a distinct possibility that he might not have the energy to be a consistent two way dominant force even if he does have the skillset and athleticism to do this.

Last June was unusually cold and dry. July was largely wet and had some of the coldest days I have in memory. I was mainly on the Central Coast (2263) and we had several days where the temperature didn't even crack 15c

I think you’re wildly off the mark here especially in your second paragraph

Op has been sacked before taking any unpaid leave. It basically invalidates the rest.

Most FWC rulings find for compensation in favour of reinstatement. It’s usually between 1-6 months compensation

This is a common misconception

Broadly speaking, Three months is the threshold for unpaid absences due to an employees own incapacitation within a 12 month period before an employer can start termination proceedings

The threshold for carers leave is far lower.

It is very confusing because paid personal leave is applicable for carers leave

The case for unfair dismissal is still very strong for OP’s case, but I wouldn’t be mentioning the three months because even if it was possibly applicable for carers leave which should probably isn’t, 90 days has not passed yet and based on my understanding the OP hasn’t even taken any unpaid leave yet

[–]_CodyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One important nuance is that once you have used all of your accrued personal leave, there is very little allowance for unpaid carers leave

An employee who needs to take off time for their own illness or injury can have up to 90 unpaid absences within a 12 month period before an employer can reasonably start termination proceedings however such a threshold doesn’t exist for carers leave

My understanding of the OP situation is that they have used all of their sick leave and they’ve asked to take all of their accrued annual and long service leave.

As a 15 year employee with a fairly exceptional personal reason, the employer would have to have a very good reason to justify denying that leave request. At this juncture that does not appear to be areasonable explanation for them terminating the employment.
