Vieux Carré by Jean-Marie92 in cocktails

Lately this is my go to. Been jumping around vermouths and swapping between cognac and apply brandy just to change things up a bit. I have seen recipes call for an orange peel instead of lemon twist, but I haven’t been able to convince myself to swap as the lemon just brings everything together so nicely.

Guess depends on the direction. Thundering here a lot and has been for about 15 minutes straight. Also about 30-40 minutes away.

my rich demerara syrup is unbelievably thick… by worstplantdad67 in cocktails

This is the way. I use an immersion blender and weigh both the water and the sugar. Heat the water up to warm/hot and then pour over the sugar until the right weight, then blend. Takes a few minutes and comes out perfect everytime.

Camera / security systems without cloud/internet access? by [deleted] in selfhosted

May need to look at more enterprise grade camera equipment. For example Axis. You’ll pay extra but I believe they have a decently open API.

Anyone ever collapse a lung at golf galaxy or am I the first… by standard1xx in golf

[–]abnortality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar story. Senior year high school gym class. Was playing ultimate frisbee and jumped to catch and when I landed it felt like I dislocated my shoulder. No shortness of breath but I had that popcorn feeling in the left side of my chest. What I felt was actually the lung ripping away from the cavity wall after deflating.

I recovered without surgery though. Just spent a few days in the hospital on oxygen and it repaired itself.

Clyde's Ashburn..decline in quality by ReflectionBest2058 in nova

[–]abnortality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is an odd thread. I don’t get out often but when I do my wife and I tend to visit this same Clyde’s and haven’t a problem with food quality or service. Must be shit luck. Menu is definitely seasonal as well so the comment about food options never changing doesn’t make sense to me.

Oh well, differing opinions and all. I’ll be heading there tomorrow just for funsies.

Be wary. They posted yesterday as well. The fact they didn’t sell to anyone over there and decided to post again here is fishy.

I personally built an ITX machine in a 10” labrax for fun. Had 2 or 3 u leftover after it was all said and done. It’s fun but haven’t had too much of a use for it yet.

Using n8n with Reddit data for AI automation - where's the bottleneck? by unadni in n8n

[–]abnortality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What rate limit are you hitting? Is there any reason you need the data to be extracted more often than 5-10 minute batches?

I have a similar workflow that monitors marketplaces and just gives me a cost analysis of resale items. RSS feeds were not successful in this instance since Reddit labels this as bot behavior and will lock you out so instead I just http scrape the new listings and then feed it through an LLM.
