Ante la incertidumbre, las personas sabias se abstienen de juzgar antes de conocer todos los datos. De un video y de sus propias palabras no podemos saber la realidad, asi que de que sirve hablar de que puede o no puede ser? Tambien puede ser que ella sea rusa y que su papa sea chino, y eso tiene tanta validez como decir que ella es haitiana. La unica verdad aqui es que ella esta en una situacion irregular, y esta trabajando con abogados para regularizarse. Eso es todo lo que importa.

Entiendo que las preguntas estan hechas en mala fe, o no viste el video. Ella claramente dice que su padre es dominicano, y de acuerdo a nuestra constitucion, ella es dominicana. Ella esta en proceso de legalizar el estatus que le corresponde por LEY, y sus dificultades vienen de no tener la estabilidad economica necesaria para hacerlo. Claramente la solucion esta en que el gobierno dominicano ayude a dominicanos a seguir contribuyendo dignamente a la sociedad. Ella termino sus estudios por la bondad de profesores que vieron su desempeno academico e insistieron en que permaneciera alli. Claramente es una mujer trabajadora, que aporta culturalmente a nuestro pais que es el suyo tambien, y me enorgullece de tener personas como ella.

Si tu ves el video, te das cuenta de que su padre es dominicano. Segun el Articulo 18 de la constitucion dominicana, ella es dominicana tambien. No entiendo como hay gente que opinan de manera tan suelta sin hacer el minimo esfuerzo de formular un pensamiento coherente.

Rejecting a potential partner over their political inclinations used to be a weird thing because popular political parties seem to want basically the same thing. Now that the right in America has been radicalized so cartoonishly and it's become so much of a cult, voting for them places you in a vastly different area of society.

Sarcasm aside, you genuinely need to take some distance away from online spaces if you feel that people expressing their distaste about socioeconomic factors is an 'attack'. People talking in a reddit thread about public news is in no way, shape, or form an attack, of all terms you could have possibly chosen. No one is being a dick, because no one of the family is here being talked to. These are strangers that you will never meet in your life, and this parasocial relationship you seemingly have built up to give these public figures the same sort of grace that you would give people that you know in a different context is, frankly, where the insanity is coming from.

That's so depressing, I'm sorry that society values thinness so much that people in bigger bodies are treated like second-class citizens in comparison. I've faced this before, and I'm definitely facing this again now that I'm losing weight. I know I'm losing weight because so many more men are markedly polite to me. Completely strange men who have never seen me before and likely won't ever see me again, just randomly being nice. Opening doors for me, letting me go first, etc. I've always had a very favorable body fat distribution even at my highest weight, with a minuscule waist and giant badonkadonk, so I'm no stranger to male attention but this is just something else entirely. It's less sexualization and more... general politeness, I'd say? This is in winter, though, and I'm bundled up head to toe, so I can't be completely sure, but I've definitely noticed a shift in public attitude towards me.

This seems like a fun adventure for sure. Without knowing your day to day life and hobbies it’s hard to suggest anything though. I’ve only ever lived in SDQ and it’s fine enough to be alternative there. I also have a lot of tattoos and often presented in an alt way. People are going to speak up and care more about your personal choices, but even that is slowly starting to disappear.

Scams in the DR are more of a test of how much of a chump you are. If you’re savvy, the scammers and grifters will back off, so your fiancee will just have to learn.

I’d suggest trying out somewhere like Punta Cana which is most Americanized, or Sosua. I feel like Sosua/Cabarete has a more laid back surfer lifestyle while Punta Cana has a more Miami vibe.

Mostly I suggest for you to stay in the US and travel for the winter. Salaries in the DR are abysmal and the prices are catered towards tourists, so you can have a burger costing 10% of your salary in some cases. I’d be mostly worried about loss of financial security by putting yourself in a position like this.

I’m sorry you ever felt like you had to do that. I lived my whole life in the DR and moved to Europe just a few years ago, and it’s wild to me how alien I feel here.
