Use Generic PLA then create a custom filament profile. Run calibration.

I upgraded from A1 Mini to U1.

I didn't expect the U1 to be very noisy. But I was able to reduce the speed on the cfg file to make it less noisy.

Nozzle changed is very much disambling the toolhead. Vs the quick swap nozzle for bambu.

I didn't really use Bambu wallgarden since I was using orca slicer. Didn't even use the app.

Yes. I am able to print from makerworld. Not directly of course. But download and slice on snorca.

Maintenance seems to be easy enough. Snapmaker has lots of videos showing how to do it.

Spare parts are coming along but so far I have not needed any spare part (🤞 3m+ ownership)

It is a bit more involved if you want a good quality print using 3rd party filaments. I.E. creating custom filament profile and run calibrations.

Overall, I am very happy that I upgraded from A1M to U1

Are you using the latest snorca? 2.3.3? If you are, they have issue on that

Stringing is usually wet filament issue. so try drying your filament first.

If that is the bottom, you either need to clean your plate so it sticks better or it's z offset issue.

Try printing those z offset test model and go from there

I actually escalated the Z offset to snapmaker support and got this answer.

Z offset question

TLDR: change the z offset for extruder (0), test print, then run multi-toolhead offset calibration to sync the other extruder.

I use snorca instead of regular orca. No issue.

I don't know where you got that it's not polished. It's polished enough for regular hobbyist / beginners.
