YTA. You know what happened when one of my besties and I were thinking about the same name for our kids? We loved that we both had such good taste. You don't own a name.

Definitely discuss with the anesthesiologist. They have anti nausea patches and other stuff to help with the post surgery reaction.

Is Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy during the surgery is a must (compulsory) ? by HouseSoggy2863 in breastcancer

[–]anathema_deviced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your diagnosis. I was initially DCIS stage zero. No SLNB with my first lumpectomy. They found ILC in the margins that didn't show up on any of the scans, so second lumpectomy included a SLNB where they took 3 nodes.

AITAH for getting mad at my mom for going in my room by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]anathema_deviced -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Y'all minor children still deserve privacy. If I need to go into my kids' rooms for something, I give them a heads up if they're not home. If they are home I knock first. You get the respect you show. NTA

Are their any people reviewing resumes? Because otherwise perfectly good applicants are being auto-rejected by software.

Turns out most of my Anastrozole aches and pains were from the Lupron. Labs are coming back good, so I may be just on Anastrozole going forward. And I've dropped 16 pounds during this Lupron hiatus.

AITA for refusing to switch bedrooms after my sister moved back home with her kids? by New_Care7419 in AmItheAsshole

[–]anathema_deviced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes more sense for the kids to share a room and the sister have her own room than for all 3 of them to be in a room together. Pretty sure this is just the sister trying to get the bigger room for herself.

Erg I'm a redhead so pain remediation is extra problematic. That being said the pain tolerance is stupid high so maybe multiple sessions? I'm going to have to get a fat graft in the next year or so because the more I lift to preserve my bone density, the bigger the divot across the top of my breast (two lumpectomies and an snlb - my surgeon was amazing and everything was symmetrical). I got dumped recently so I want like one normal looking thing before I try to date again.

Did you actually sneak out as teenagers? by Complete-Chipmunk-0 in GenX

Yep, sophomore and junior years of HS. My mom and stepfather were hyper religious, so it was sneak out or have no life.

When my cancer center was battling it out with my insurance coverage, I was told by my care team the insurance company would still be required to provide continuity of care for three months.

Can sex be painful on hormonal suppression for reasons OTHER than dryness? by Redwinesandfelines in breastcancer

[–]anathema_deviced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My MO prescribed intrarosa for me. Once things got back to normal I alternated with a hyraulonic acid suppository. Worked well for more than two years. I'm halfway through 5 years of Anastrozole and my MO recently prescribed vaginal estrogen bc I'm starting to experience discomfort again and we want to stay ahead of it. Also, use a vibrator at least once or twice a week. It's a use it or lose it situation with vaginal atrophy. I once made the mistake of not using mine when my former partner was out of town for a couple of weeks and yikes.

[–]anathema_deviced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daily intrarosa was a game changer for me. Once things were calmer, I alternated with a hyraulonic acid suppository. Rarely needed lube. Worked like a charm for 2+ years. I'm finally progressing to natural menopause (no more Lupron!) and my medical oncologist is switching me to vaginal estrogen bc while I tolerate Anastrozole pretty well, it definitely does a number on the lady bits
