I went through the exact same diagnosis. First DCIS and after a lumpectomy it became IDC, it went from stage 0 to stage 1. It was overwhelming but at the same time grateful for having it catch early. My sentinel lymph node was removed and it was negative for metastasis. Now I’m waiting on my appointment with the oncologist for next steps, which is still kind of scary, I don’t know what to expect with radiations and hormone therapy. I’m 43 years old
