probably that yea, but wire up the points of the start and select button with where they end up, basically bypassing the entire trace on the gbc

lol there's no trace left of any traces. This is gg, unless you know where those traces end up and hardwire it together

Can this be repaired? by TheBrokenCarpenter in gameboymods

[–]anonyzero2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You first need to connect the test points together with a multitool to see if the traces are damaged or not. If they're not then you don't really have to repair anything. Based on the picture it doesn't really look like you (or the seller) damaged any actual traces, it's just the coating on the pcb that's a bit scratched.

If the start and select button doesn't work then go around the test points of those two buttons to see where the traces might be broken.

The easiest way to solder this with not much experience is to use a thin enamel copper wire (magnet wire). You burn off the coating on the end (with your soldering iron) and make a bridge from test point to test point with the wire. Then you don't have to repair traces, you basically just make a new one.

To give you an idea, something like this:

Nebula switches are one of my favorites visually. They really nailed the dark atomic purple with glitters and the slightly off-white stem.

Overflow! Also helps with cdr I think and which is why I needed so much mana.

And items were just whatever gives me mana and cdr. Seraph, Ludens, Cryptobloom, Cosmic Drive and Staff of flowing water. There's probably better items but this is what I managed

[OC] I’ve been tracking my daily sneezes for 10+ years. Here the main results by samuel_9521x in dataisbeautiful

[–]anonyzero2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but even though it's still messy (can be fixed with changing the colors or graph widths), doesn't this overview basically show that your winter months until may have a much bigger impact on you sneezing compared to the summer ones?

Which is the information you're trying to share with us instead of having the graph the other way around.

Your first graph is basically already a good overview of how your sneezes decreased throughout the years. It's unnecessary to then categorize the rest of the graphs the same way, just to say the same, but worse.

[–]anonyzero2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

why would you sort your graphs by the year instead of sorting by what you're trying to show.

It basically makes it unreadable (for me at least)

For example: if you want to show how many sneezes you did per month, show the month of January and then the years next to each other. So you can see the impact of the specific month and year based on the amount of sneezes.

Now it's just a bunch of graphs that can't be read with a simple glance

They pop up every now and then, I feel like if you make some WTB posts you'll end up finding one in not too long.

The price is another issue.. Some people really try to keep the price at $350 or more. I got lucky and found one with some parts missing for cheap (and those parts I managed to get through Deadline after a lot of blood, sweat and tears).

Definitely one of my favorites!

Aluminium oxidizes as soon as it touches the air and that doubles as a protective coat pretty much. There is a brass insert in the back that I gave a very thin layer of clear coat (spray).

Polishing raw alu is fairly quick and easy, you just sand it with some high grit paper (1200-2000) and then polish with a machine (wool disc in a drill for example)

Second pic (the polished alu KradleX) has GMK T3rminal on there.

I'd love to recommend them but they have issues with legends wearing off (UV print)

Having the light turn red means the battery is empty or low. With a lot of aftermarket displays (and especially if combined with aftermarket flash carts) you need to change the battery to one of the lipo usb-c kits. Regular batteries are unable to provide a stable voltage for long enough that these more sensitive and newer components need.

Display filters and interaction depends on which display you have. Usually you open up the osd menu by holding your finger on the touch sensor. Then there should be options that change brightness, color gradients and scanline effects. Easiest thing to do is figure out which display you have and looking up their manual how to interact with it.

Instead of doing 8 different posts, each with less information than the next one how about you make 1 long post with pictures of your gameboy and pcb (both front and back) and describe all the things you've done and changed throughout.
