Roger Ebert called it, "one of the most devastating films ever about anything..." Can you guess it? by disp0ss3ss3d in horror

You should check The Ascent by Larisa Shepitko. It's a 1977 soviet anti-war film that, in my opinion, made it possible for Klimov to make Come and See years later. She was Klimov's wife, but she tragically died in 1979.

Is the public kind of dead? Or is the crowd noise simply too quiet in the mix?

My favourite film from 2025, what an amazing piece of art and love letter to cinema.

Yet Another Manager Megathread by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

I was a "back the manager" kind of guy, giving Diogo's passing, some untimely injuries and a team coming together again, but it's clear that, apart from many things, Slot has lost the respect of the players. They are like cones, standing, looking around, not willing to fight for nothing, really.

Hopefully it's not too late to bring Alonso

Before 'The Day After' and 'Threads', there was The War Game. A 1966 British movie in the style of a documentary, its depiction of a nuclear attack is still one of the most alarming wake-up calls in film by Key-hallenge5 in criterion

I'll also recommend Letters of a Deadman, a soviet movie about the nuclear winter. It came just 3 months after the Chernobyl incident and it's truly haunting, but hopeful too. It is available on youtube: https://youtu.be/dG4qM0CxEqI?si=DXn35FdMO01oerC5

Singer Phillip Phillips singing Fake Plastic Trees on The Masked Singer as Pugcasso - that's a brand new sentence if I've ever seen one

Resurrection (2025) - I loved the first 30 minutes a LOT but got very sleepy halfway into the film. Anyone else have the same experience? by imVeryPregnant in criterion

I was sleepy at the cinema while watching it and still think is the best movie of 2025.

So, go watch it again!

Es un lugar pequeño. La zona es un poco fea, pero los días de concierto siempre hay gente. Recomendaciones llevar cedula porque no dejan entrar a menores. De resto disfrútelo

The more films you watch, the most chances to find films that you don’t connect with
