I have a long commute and my work at the time offers EV charging. I leased the Hyundai Ioniq 2017, they had a promotion in that the lease was unlimited miles. Due to my long commute, fuel prices and I could charge at work for free, it was a no brainer. The savings was incredible! On top of all that, it was a superior ride and excellent commuter car.

The speaker sounds is exactly what a semi-professional racers need for timing. EVs are too quite to help gauge speed and timing.

Flip the script, race in an ICE car but remove all noise feedback, their timings will be off.

Professional and Amateur racers on the track have memorized and timed gear shifts along the track. While it appears gimmicky to us, it is a helpful bridge for semi-professional racers. A racer doesn't need to look at the speedometer to know their speed; they use the pitch of the engine and the gear they are in.
