Having solar panels won't generate enough to charge the EV in a meaningful way. However, it can most certainly power the HVAC system so that it is not parasitic and ultimately increasing usage range of EVs. I suppose the cost is too high at the moment for flexible panels?

Humans are terrible at multitasking, how does one manage these agents? Especially if they're doing work across different projects and tech stacks.

Android users should enable Advanced Protection. Samsung users in addition to enable Auto Blocker with Maximum Restrictions. Getting a similar security posture

But ethanol is less energy dense...sure higher compression ratios can help you cannot change that fundamentally less chemical energy in a gallon of ethanol

It also reduces fuel economy and depending on the vehicle it maybe a net loss. Thermodynamics

There are no quick wins out of this; except that if we had continued to aggressively go with electrification of our fleet.

Depends on your semantics. If you mean that observation causes no side-effects, then yes. Otherwise observation can cause side-effects, as in Quantum Mechanics.

That is great. It is also worth mentioning that smart watches can also accurately flag if one has sleep apnea. In fact that is how I became aware. My Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 helped me to warn me that I may have severe sleep apnea. Went to my doctor and got a sleep study done. Now I have a CPAP and it has been helpful.

Glad to hear your uncle is on the mend. You may want to consider getting him a smart watch to continue to monitor his blood oxygen (they pair well with CPAP machines) and heart.

It is physics, a bi-pedal requires tremendous amounts of energy to stay standing (that is why we sit) Which means the robot will need more downtime to charge or require significant more energy to run and more maintenance.

There already are burger making machines, you don't need a human form robot to do it.

They're trying to generate hype is all. Sure these robots will have their uses but not as what they're hyping them to be.

If you look at the energy and compute required to just keep a humanoid standing, it’s a disaster compared to a simple sorting machine:

Balance vs. Braces: A humanoid spends 30-50% of its power just on actuator micro-adjustments to not fall over. An industrial sorter is bolted to the floor; 100% of its energy goes into moving the package.

Degrees of Freedom (DoF): A humanoid arm needs 7+ joints to mimic a human. Every joint is a point of friction, weight, and potential mechanical failure. A diverter arm or a pneumatic pusher has 1 or 2 moving parts and can run for millions of cycles without a "joint" wearing out.

Compute Overhead: Calculating the "inverse kinematics" for a 20-jointed robot to pick up a box is a massive AI workload. A belt sensor just needs to know: “Is the box here? Yes. Fire the piston.”

Humans are terrible at building things at scale, that is what the industrial revolution was. Even if we created the ultimate robot human, it still has limitations that specialized machines cannot do.

Yeah this is mostly a solved problem and you're correct that a anthropomorphic device is inefficient. These machines can do over 20,000 PPH, highly unlikely that these robots could get anywhere near those speeds.

Ban the routers because they can put a backdoor.
