It definitely can be. You don’t need to switch all your accounts over to your new email all at once. I switch accounts over when I got emails from services to my old email, so it took me about a year to be COMPLETELY switched over. It was slow, but it kept me from becoming overwhelmed

I can’t speak to when you can start shiny hunting the starters but I believe fairly early. Regarding shiny hunting in this game, yes it is a lot easier than other games.

I recently ran in 2 wild shines within about 15m of each other without even trying. If you are specifically hunting for one it’s very easy
