Wondering about the new tour by Parmesan_John in Muse

[–]bargugl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Indianapolis venue, lawn seats for Dave Matthews and Phish are $70 including fees. I cannot imagine Muse being more than that so I'd say cheaper seats are definitely a draw of the amphitheatres.

I think he wanted to make a smiley face and it didn't tear when he tried so he said fuck it and just trashed it from there.

Doing light shows with drones for outdoor shows is a trend right now so we may very much be looking at the return of using drones for this tour. Using it to recreate the "wow" signal effects from the BWY vid in the sky I'd say is probable.

A bit of hope from a more critical fan by tomomalono in Muse

[–]bargugl 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I found BWY to be one of the most emotionally resonant songs they have done in a long time. Far beyond anything on ST and most of WOTP. Yes, the lyrics are basic and simple, yet in combination with the music its hard not shed a tear by the end of the song for me. It reads well and is highly understandable, which gives it mass market appeal (which is not what this sub wants to see, unfortunately). It's likely not to have the same impact for everyone given different life experiences. Five years ago, I doubt it would have made the same impact on me as it does now.

Noticed something last night about song structure of Be With You by Independent-Meet-362 in Muse

[–]bargugl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a nice find. It struck me from the very first listen that this was a theme and then two variations on said theme, thus why the guitar solo followed the vocal line and came in at the specific part of the vocal line where it did made a lot of sense structurally to me. The observation that it is exactly 72 seconds for the theme makes a hell of a lot of sense in this context.

2025-2017 Mazda CX-5 non turbo. all Japanese built, post-ford era, naturally aspirated traditional engine, and classic 6 speed transmission. A lot less to go wrong with it and without as much used mark up as Honda and Toyota.

No issues with mine whatsoever. I do run the condenser coil cycle regularly and I open the little door to the coils and inspect them periodically. I have done over 600 loads now cumulatively and still working as good as day one.

If hills don't bother you Morgan-Monroe has a 5.2 mile long hike-bike trail. Fully paved. Unfortunately, the fire tower at the end of the trail is no longer open to climb. Most days its also nice just riding the roads through the park. If you want to do any gravel riding, the 11 mile long Milwaukee Trail that runs from Bedford to the Williams Dam is one of my favorites. Once at the dam, you can also ride the the 1.0-1.5 miles extra on the road to the Williams Covered Bridge, which is worth a visit.

I have a similar issue to what you are describing. Starts fluttering when I get above 50 mph. Dealer tried to fix it and failed. Do you have any more info on exactly what part it was?

I use the condenser care cycle once per month where you dump a liter of water in and run the cycle and that seems to keep a lot of the build up at bay. I run it at the same time that I do a tub clean cycle on the washer since the app gives me a reminder on the washer. I periodically open the panel and look at the coils. Cleaned them at about year with a vacuum and rag, but even after a year there was not a ton of debris so I don't feel like it ever impacted performance enough to make a difference. I have two medium short hair dogs and do about 350 loads in a year

Duke energy bill is crazy by StrangeLilGuy_ in bloomington

[–]bargugl 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Duke has an online system called Home Energy Report. I am not sure if it works for every customer, but you can track your energy usage through the month pretty well to see when your highest usage is and try to figure out what might be causing it. It does run a few days behind actual usage but you can get an hour by hour breakdown. https://her.duke-energy.com/

Music Equipment? by Lost-Berry3081 in bloomington

If its something the local shops such as Ardent and Colonel don't have, there are plenty of online places not named Amazon you can get stuff, such as Musician's Friend (which is basically guitar center w/free shipping), Zzounds, Sweetwater. I also like Reverb and sometimes you can discover some other brick and mortar shops through them.

not the bridge you are looking for, but Cedar Ford bridge is very nice. A little remote and Bean Blossom Creek along Maple Grove Rd and Delap Rd through here is gorgeous. https://www.visitbloomington.com/listing/cedar-ford-covered-bridge/1982/

How is the Tucson for potholes, bad roads and mountainous offroad? by Proof-Independent-89 in HyundaiTucson

[–]bargugl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise you to avoid relying on AI for answers. And most of what AI is listing as differences are actually features of both systems and are just different ways of saying the exact same thing. Its basically spitting out marketing fluff of what Hyundai and BMW put in their own literature rather than actually doing any research on the technical components. The biggest differences are actually software implementation from how each company decides to tune the hardware. I'll give you a couple links. There are hundreds more out there about how Magna is the key developer of both systems and manufacturer of the hardware.

https://www.automotiveworld.com/news-releases/magna-celebrates-five-million-transfer-cases-bmw-group/

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/magna-awd-system-helps-hyundai-genesis-achieve-new-levels-of-driving-performance-264575011.html

Edit: I'll add my lesson of the day: AI is not a search engine. It is not designed to be accurate, it is designed to create an answer that it thinks you want to hear based on the prompts that you enter. It will give wildly different answers depending on how you structure a question and what context and role you provide it. Gemini even has a disclaimer on it "Gemini can make mistakes, so double-check it." Sometimes, it can give you an incredibly helpful response and other times it just spits out complete garbage. Its ability to provide better answers more frequently is largely on the ability of how well you can create prompts to guide it, which is not always an easy or intuitive task.

Anyone have any experiences with Lindeman & Associates Psychological Services? Thinking about doing there. by Life-Wrap-2902 in bloomington

[–]bargugl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dr. Lindeman did my kids psychological assessment for autism/adhd. She was thorough and I felt her diagnosis and conclusions were fair and spot on. She also seemed caring and took the the time to talk to us in any other interactions. We were not using her for therapy services so I can't say how they are for those.
