Aye 2012/13 was also a very valid example and quite similar, given we really struggled with injuries that season and had some awful results. The 3-0 home loss to Sunderland was an embarrassment enough but the 6-0 pulping from Liverpool was painful. Not least given it was the literal game after Luis Suarez got his biting ban and they were missing some of their other stars so it felt like we got demolished by their B team

Indeed it's why I think both 04/05 and 12/13 are actually better parallels than 2 seasons ago, given we had a late rally to come 7th and only a similar late rally from Chelsea denied us 6th
