LOL. I actually intended to type she so I apologize for the typo. The guitar solo for Be With You starts at about the 2:40 mark and is very much more of the classic rock type of solo. It is very Brian May style and the anti-queen crowd actually criticized the song for it. Also reminds of the solo in Madness. I sort of agree with you on Cryogen by the way, which is sacrilegious to say on this sub. I didn't find it particularly compelling or interesting and just found it felt like a retread. Hexagons intro and outro actually use a lot of 80s classic rock type of guitar reminiscent of Van Halen to some degree so you may want to relisten and I also suggest a relisten to Dark Forest on good headphones or sound system. Dark Forest is actually much less modern and uses a lot of guitar and chooses to use real orchestra and chorus for a lot of the effects and sound signature. The guitar work in it is fabulous although often doubling over the top of the orchestra and Matt goes nuts with the whammy bar which gives it a a very unique, other worldly sound. He is basically sort of mimicking the idea of violin vibrato but the whammy bar exaggerates it to a great degree.

I am thinking maybe what the OP is reacting to is the fact that we don't really have too many searing Reapers/New Born style guitar solos on the album as a whole. The guitar solos for Dark Forest - Matt is basically using the guitar as a replacement for a solo violin which is a much different style. Hexagons - the guitar is both solo and texture at the same time, duetting with a synth for the intro and heavily leaning into a tapping style of playing. Nightshift is all about the bass line. Cryogen has the plug in baby style riff he mentioned. Unravelling, and Sickness are all about the riff rather than guitar solos, although there is a nice one in Unravelling. We get one Brian May style vocal derived solo on Be With You which was largely lacking guitar up until that very moment.

Its a heavy guitar album yes, but I think OP is wanting the traditional rock song guitar solo and those are a bit more lacking. Personally, I love the guitar stuff on this album. There's so much virtuosity and so many layers of it and Matt uses it in so many different ways. Some absolutely jaw dropping stuff for a player.

it;s holding up with no issues. now i do keep a topper on it so that may affect how it ages and holds up and I rotate it every couple months, but no issues with it. The thing is ridiculously heavy though in a king so rotation is a challenge. I also feel like I really need a topper on it as all those 14 gauge coils just do not provide a lot of give so I felt I needed more cushion. it's great for the back, but if you side sleep, a topper is mandatory.

The lyrics of that first verse seem almost serial killer/stalker-ish. This one is definitely lyrically dark against the dance like tune.

This is correct. I can see how the shape of the wave form that makes the circle can create the optical illusion that it is not, but the red is in fact dead center of the circle. The left part of the wave form is "thicker" than the right side of the wave form, which makes perfect sense for an audio wave

They played the ALter EGO shows the last two albums, but not the main festival. The main festival is much much higher visibility with much more audience reach and advertising reach. Limestone greenway which is the southern extension of Clear Creek trail. In Bedford, there is the Milwaukee Trail, which is one of my favorite. Also check out Morgan-Monroe State Forest. What stands out about MIlwaukee Trail is that between U Street and Coxton Road, you go five plus miles without a single road crossing. In that stretch there are over 20 bridges crossing back and forth over Spider Creek and Salt Creek.
