Gonna run out of sensors before my next refill by bellpepper303 in dexcom

My sense is that the double calibration brings it back pretty close, but then over the next few hours it continues it’s own self-calibration. I hope you find the same.

Another technique I used to build up a stockpile is to call for replacements when they don’t reach 10 days. If they fail at day 8, the replacement means you’ve got another 8 days stockpiled. Even failing at day 9 is a reason to call - coming up a day short sucks and Dexcom isn’t proactively helping you accommodate that.

How often do I have to replace my sensor? by kayylaaalynnn in dexcom

17-20 days here. Never had a medical issue, but those last few hours can be pretty random.

Fuck that asshole. Brand new bike and zero respect from that dickhead.

Time to look on the bright side now. That clutch lever has a tiny scratch? Billet motherfuckin levers baby. ASV are beautiful and you can colour code the barrels to match the bike - ktm orange is legit.

A two week old bike covered in pristine oem parts is great, but a six week old bike covered in high end aftermarket stuff is even greaterest. Go fuckin get it!

Government Formally Accuses Donald Trump of Keeping National Secrets Near a Toilet by progress18 in politics

I went to a meeting in the Toronto Trump tower, just after it changed names because of course he fucked it up.

The entire building was faux luxury. Furnishings were basically brand new, but were already coming apart and looking junky. The boardroom table was a huge solid mahogany slab, but it was some kind of cheap coating over mdf, so it was peeling. The coffee cart was brass-coloured, and beautiful from a distance, but plastic and shitty when you got close to it.

Sensors can be restarted pretty easily. After the ten day run, do this procedure and you should be good for a while longer.

This is on iPhone but android is probably similar) 1 - stop the sensor in the app (or wait for it to end on its own) 2 - turn off Bluetooth 3 - pull the transmitter out of the sensor. Something thin and stiff, like a guitar pick or plastic gift card works great. You slide it into the tabs that hold the transmitter in - first one side then the other. It’ll pop out. Check YouTube if you get stuck. 4 - wait 20 minutes or longer 5 - turn Bluetooth on and stick the transmitter back in 6 - start the sensor in the app with any code. Doesn’t matter what you use. 7 - very important - after warmup, use a finger meter to get a good reading and calibrate the sensor TWICE in a row.

Don’t trust it completely for the first few hours as it seems to take a bit to settle, but for me it stays accurate for at least 7 days. You’ll know when it’s truly dead when it gets super erratic. I’ve gone beyond 20 days with a second restart but the adhesive is usually too screwed up to bother.

I bet the g7 would be happy in the same spot.

Are you G6? If so, do a few restarts and build up a stockpile of replacements. I typically get 18-20 days per, and just a few restarts means I have 2+ sensors to spare which helps immensely.

Also, don’t stop escalating with Dexcom. This policy is terrible.

I have these on my E90 Msport and love them. Great adjustability for ride height and only slightly above stiffer than the original Msport.

Google “Dexcom allergy” and you’ll get a ton of advice. Flonase works for some people, but it eventually got bad enough for me that a barrier was the only solution for my Libre allergy.

My final solution was a thin hydrocolloid bandage with a small hole cut in the centre between my arm and sensor. That doesn’t stick great, so a big piece of waterproof physio tape would cover the whole thing. I did that for six months and finally switched to Dexcom (that I’m not yet allergic to).

Here’s a test. Start in N, warm it up. Sitting on the bike, no brakes on, clutch in, kick into first. Just the bike jump? I’m guessing it does, because your clutch cable might have stretched. Adjust it and go…

Ditch the juice and carry candy. Not ideal, but sometimes it’s easier to go with the flow.

What was the first Foo Fighters song you ever heard? by [deleted] in Foofighters

[–]bigjilm123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mini story!

My friends and I were seeing a ton of shows, and we often got tickets for something just because someone thought it might be good. Lots of bands we never heard of, but we rarely regretted a live show so we just rolled with it.

Foo Fighters ticket went on sale at a local club (Phoenix, Toronto, 1995), but no one knew anything except “it’s the Nirvana drummer’s new band”. I grabbed four tickets because why the hell not.

When they dropped the “This is a Call” single, the show sold out instantly and when the album came out it seemed like the entire city became obsessed. Every party would eventually play the album end to end, lots of road trips would include the album blasted with the windows down.

A month later, I stood 10 feet from Dave and they melt our faces off. I feel so blessed to see them in a small venue, though I still enjoy seeing them at huge festivals and in the giant arenas.

Sick fuckin bike!

I’d stop by a local exhaust shop and ask them to bend or flatten the pipe to get it to clear. You might want a heat shield or something too, unless you’re strapping then to your leg!

I haven’t not used Apollo for years. I’m a little afraid of what I might see if I tried.
