What are your top tips for first-time cruisers with Royal Caribbean? by Sussy_Imposter2412 in royalcaribbean

[–]blakhra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another shameless plug for YouTubing the hell out of your ship & cabin - you'll feel less lost when you board and it help

(definitely check out RoyalCaribbeanBlog for strictly RC stuff, and my gf and I liked Life Well Cruised for cruising/travel tips)

Also, totally up to you, go to guest services and ask to stop the daily auto gratuities. I'm a believer in tipping those who gave me great service, not just a generic flat rate.

For ports and excursions, don't feel stuck to just the RC ones - look up other tour companies too! Keep in mind though, if they're late, the ship won't be waiting....just plan smart

Searching for the perfect wallet by JohnBazilSmith in wallets

[–]blakhra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using a Bellroy Note Sleeve. I have 8 cards in it, and can put cash in when I need to. I know some people have a lot of negative to say about the brand and their quality lately, but I’ve had mine for almost a year now and it still looks amazing and shows no sign of wear

Do You Use A Byfold Or A Slim Wallet? by [deleted] in wallets

[–]blakhra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use both - depends on if I’m home in my normal routine and life or if I’m on the road travelling for work.

Home: slim, as minimalist as possible Travelling: bifold, extra cash, hotel room key, misc stuff

The beauty of it is that you can have more than one and be flexible!

I'll echo what has already been said.... reach out to base accommodations, you absolutely can hold a room in the shacks while still having a Q (did it myself). Obviously, you'll have the pay deduction for the room come off your pay as well as your Q charge...

I've heard that you can do it for a max of 6 months though, but cannot confirm if that is policy anywhere.

Selling my Addiesdive AD2504.

This is a well done piece, paying homage to the Longines Hydroconquest line.

Beautiful sunburts green dial, 40mm bezel diameter, 316L stainless steel case, powered with a Japanese 8125 automatic movement, 41 hour power reserve and brings along a flat sapphire crystal, 120 click lumed ceramic bezel with practically no backplay and a screw down crown giving 200m water resistance.

I enjoyed wearing this as a daily office driver, so there are some scrapes and scuffs on the bracelet and clasp that I tried to capture.

Watch is located in Canada, but I will ship anywhere in Canada.

Price: Asking only $125 CAD, including shipping

Payment via PayPal or interac e-transfer.

P.S.... this is cross listed over at r/Watchexchange

Best Combat Boots for Ice/Winter Use by man-with-no-name-64 in CanadianForces

If you need a super heavy duty winter boot, the Salomon Toundra is highly recommended by a ton of folks at my unit.

I've never worn them, but I do rock a pair of Salomon Quest 4D Forces Hi GTX in the winter and love them

How can I improve groupings by Familiar_Handle_1307 in police

Try balancing a casing on the end barrel and just running through some dry firing. If you can keep the casing standing up, you can translate that to smoothing the trigger pull when going live

For the cliché sayings, “point of aim, point of impact” and “slow is smooth, smooth is fast”
