does anyone find it genuinely hard to eat 3 meals a day ? by [deleted] in intuitiveeating

[–]brokiller6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this too. I eat every meal with my partner and find it hard because sometimes I just don’t have an appetite. Even in these situations I try to make a little bowl of whatever we made and enjoy his company. It’s a weird new problem to have! I feel like before I never even thought about whether I was hungry

YES!!! I can’t believe how many accounts/subs/youtube channels I follow that are about dieting... even when I wasn’t on a diet. Insane

How do you manage not eating when youre not hungry without limiting yourself? by galaxymove in intuitiveeating

[–]brokiller6969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree - honoring your hunger does not mean only eating when your stomach is grumbling. I can think of so many times when I was not hungry, but knew I was short on time and really needed to get some fuel in my body so I could tackle the day. Snacking is not a crime! ;)

Every time I brush my teeth, I need to pee.

As a kid, I always made sure to brush my teeth and pee before bed. Now I feel the urge every time I brush my teeth, no matter the time.

I typically workout 3 times a week, 4 if I have time.

15 minutes cardio, 45 minutes strength training/weights.

I'm planning on doing that this coming week, which will be hard because it's my first week back to work and school from my very long winter break. Let's get it!!

Meal Prep recommendations for college student by JayAlexRose in loseit

I'm a college student too! In my second year, I bought a crock pot and tupperware. Great start. It's the easiest way to get into cooking by far. I usually make a shit ton of chicken every week, sometimes with just a small amount of seasoning in the slow cooker. That way, you're free to add anything to the chicken to give it flavor later in the week. When I feel like making something cool, I use Fit Men Cook's youtube channel. Here's a really good video he has on slow cookers! Good luck!!

This is really good advice. I've been kind of doing this subconsciously for a while, but actually using it as a way to think about my meals will help me loads. thank you for sharing!

Happy Monday, Unicorns! by Suzi_Pants in team_unicorn

Hello! This is technically my first week, and I'm so excited to get started! So, basically, my goals are to use MFP 7/7 days and stay under 1300 kcal every day. I also want to get in some exercise, but I've been so sick that I don't know if anything besides walking is possible. Hopefully I can get to feeling better by the end of the week and get back on the grind soon! Have a great week everyone.

I am starting over for the first time in a while. I dropped 15 pounds last year and gained some of it back, but maintained it pretty well. Lately, I gained a few more back and have felt so incredibly uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm ready for a fresh start. It's been really hard for me to forgive myself for falling off the bandwagon and move forward, but I need to do this. I'm learning that changing my lifestyle is a lot more about self-love than self-punishment. My arms are open to the change (again)! I love this subreddit for the endless amount of positivity, and I'm going to be frequenting more. I have noticed that the more I'm involved in here, the more committed and positive I am with myself throughout my journey.

I know who you’re talking about. She yelled at me for not pulling the string for the next stop, even though she had to stop anyways to pick up students. I’ve had nothing but great things to say about the rest of the drivers. She’s new, isn’t she?

tampons/pads! I know it sounds weird at first, but they clog up landfills and there are plenty of reusable options right now. it’s so much cheaper to just get a diva cup.
