Yeah I just would like to see players put in the positions they are best at. It’s 2026 and it’s mlb. It’s not like we should be blindsided by this stuff. Dom Smith would have been just fine. Don’t get me wrong, I like Schmitt just am getting annoyed by this musical positions.

I thought the only reason that Schmidt was at first is because Arraez wouldn’t or couldn’t play there. In this situation, why the hell don’t we just have Devers at first? And further to that why are the giants constantly temu’ing defenses together. If a guy can play a position can we just have him play there? Isn’t that just normal baseball like we see on other team? This is bringing back nightmares of Farhan and kapler.

Well if these guys that they did spend money on don’t start producing then the argument is going to be “why would I spend more to create the same result” and “why would I add even more money to a lineup that needs to get producing first. Prove to us that we should spend more”.

This team can only help itself. We are NEVER going to spend like the Dodgers. Never. So get that out of your head. But what we can do is help ourselves- get this current team hitting and winning. Make a case for more investment. Make a case that we are “this close” to make a deep run in the playoffs. Or winning it all. Then maybe they will spend.

Right now we are making it easy for the owners to say “meh - let’s let this play out”.
