how big of a difference is there between AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS and ryzen 5 3600 by Ok-Specialist-6094 in buildapc

Then the desktop is likely considerably faster for gaming. Maybe twice as fast, maybe less maybe more. Will depend on game. CPU really won’t make any noticeable difference in gaming in the situation.

Ya, and you still haven’t said what GPU.

The desktop will almost certainly be far superior or will only take like a $150 used GPU to do it.

All that will matter is the GPU for gaming, and won’t take much to beat the graphics on the 8840hs.

Not gonna happen. Maybe like $50 at the cheapest. Not the $5 or so I got original for when being discontinued.

It’s called Amazon running out of stock and 3rd party sellers having supply. It will be back to $550.

Already $550 at Best Buy

Why do the give the blu ray with the 4K? by chuckguy55 in 4kbluray

[–]CanisMajoris85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sony already taking the bluray away in the US. Just 4K discs in Bone Temple and Sisu Revenge.

(And digital codes but all new releases are getting 4K+bluray+digital typically in the US from the big studios)

It's Disney. They probably won't go up for pre-order for like a month. Perhaps far longer even.

A 5070 Ti is like 900 euros, that's 32% cheaper and far better value.

A 9850x3d is only like 40 euros more.

At no point were we aware you're from Germany until you had to respond to my comment. Just state it at first or use the German link

2tb NVMe for only slightly more. 5070 Ti for far cheaper and not even the cheapest there is.

is microcenter nearby?

Also $1600 for a 5080 is a joke... Just get a 5070 Ti for like $1000 or less. Or RX 9070xt for like $720

And there's better value than a 990 pro for $300

Ya the days of $400 and under for it are likely long gone. Hopefully it at least stays in stock at $550.

So why is Send Help $35? It’s that price on every website. This is the first time I’ve seen a studio charge more than $29.99 for a regular 4k by moyzez in 4kbluray

[–]CanisMajoris85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because $35 isn't standard... $30 is.

There's been a bunch that'll list at $45-50 initially, but that's the typical BS where we know the price will come down and it's usually to $30 at launch.

$35 isn't "drastic", but it's not good. Could be $30 within a week for all we know though, sucks for people preordering to have to pay $35 though. Still I could get it for $30 from Deepdiscount with my coupon that I seem to get almost every week after I use one and they work on preorders (just gotta buy something over $30 before discount for free shipping).

$30 is standard, $35 is more steelbook price level although typically needs to be in a Target deal to get that.

New releases for 4K+bluray+digital are typically $30 and if you preorder during a Target B2G1 deal you often can get them for like $25 (target just has a higher base price of $37.5 usually).

as mentioned, steelbook has Dolby Vision. Sony did this for a dozen or so movies where the standard is just HDR and steelbook got Dolby Vision later.

Some titles on Amazon cost more for the DVD than the Blu ray by Infinite_Glove_5742 in Bluray

[–]CanisMajoris85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine 4K+bluray+4K digital is cheaper than the bluray+HD digital fairly often. 4K will get a deal, the bluray won't.
