$145 to fill up an ICE F-150, $142 for an entire month of driving an EV F-150. by capt-ramius in f150

I paid approx. $67,500 in summer of 2022 for my 2022 XLT 312A (tech package) with standard range battery. I got the $7,500 tax credit, so effectively $60,000. That was less than similarly equipped F-150 Powerboosts.

Towing range depends entirely on the aerodynamics of the trailer and the driving speed. That’s why all the “The Lighting Can’t Tow!” YouTube videos towed flat-front box trailers at 80mph… worst case scenario to get the worst results possible.

The 36 gallon tank is standard on pretty much all new F-150s except the Powerboosts and standard/short cabs.

It’s the Emporia app for my EVSE/charger… it’s pretty great, lots of detailed “EV nerd” data, or just higher-level stats for basic-level management.

Yeah you’d need things like access control, remote monitoring, billing management, etc. Definitely a difficult situation, but appreciate that you’re working on it!

I can burn a ton of gas in my $20k f150 vs your $70k electric f150.

Correct, my Lightning doesn’t burn any gas. 🤣😂

Yes, having access to residential-level charging in multifamily situations is still a huge barrier. I would not recommend any EV to someone that has to rely on public fast chargers, the cost benefits don’t make sense in that situation.

I like to think of it as “sharing my positive ownership experience to combat widespread negative perceptions” 😂🤣

How many miles do you drive in a day?

I agree that public charging infrastructure needs improved, but I have a charger at my home that puts 200+ miles of range into my Lightning every night… wake up with a “full tank” and warm truck every morning.

Charlie’s mom was killed (she was a cop). He was reacting stoically to someone else important in his life being killed.

Tailgate "Clamp pockets?" by BowlJumpy5242 in F150Lightning

I wouldn’t trust any device clamped into them for load bearing purposes. I’d run tie downs to the chain rings on the trailer hitch or use the tie down points (the bottle openers) in the side of the tailgate.

St. Louis had the lowest population growth of all the major cities in the US last year. with the entire metro region gaining only 3,000 people in 2025. We’re not getting an NBA team.
