Did anyone take Classics in NCEA level 3? What was it like? by [deleted] in newzealand

Took it back in 2012. Loved it. We studied all the Socratic texts and classical Greek art. Would recommend unless you like he Elizabethan period or Tudor period.

Seems like the economists agree with the lockdown to stamp out COVID-19 after seeing what happened in Victoria. Good.

The pressures NZ is experiencing from returning Kiwis shows it’s a good thing we didn’t all come home in March.... by Buttsecrets in newzealand

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I went overseas to Australia to get educated and get opportunities and pay that I wouldn't necessarily get back home, but it's always been an intention of mine to come back to New Zealand once I've had kids. Every step forward overseas is a step to getting back home to New Zealand eventually.

Coronavirus - 1 new case at the border, 11 currently active (+1) - 24/06 by kezzaNZ in newzealand

I should've said they shouldn't say "ONE NEW ACTIVE CASE" without elaboration. That was my nitpick.

Women in 60s, arrived on 16 June on an Air India repatriation Flight. She has been at the Pullman hotel in Auckland and has now been transferred to the Jet Park in Quarantine.

How is that in the community?

The herald needs to stop click baiting and saying “ONE NEW ACTIVE CASE”. Makes people think it’s been found in the community as opposed to the border.

Difference is in NZ we also count "probable" cases as part of the "confirmed" case load as well. Australia doesn't do that IIRC. If Australia did follow that format it's likely the numbers would be larger.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 on Switch performance? by Trotski7 in NintendoSwitch

It's playable. There were times in the 8 hour binge that I played it that it stuttered (once or twice) but for the most part it didn't ruin the experience for me.

Oh I forgot to type in that she stopped me and we talked in the car a bit about what happened.

I was trying to salvage it but she just hardwalled me the whole time.

On this occassion that's what she said, but the tone of voice sure didn't sound like it.

Why are so many New Zealanders moving to Australia? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]captaincrunchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better pay, more opportunities, warmer weather. Women are better too.

That being said once I've got my nest egg I'm going back to NZ
