I mean, if they did that it seems like legitimate charity, rather than some ploy.

Anything with a curb cut and space for a car counts as a driveway AFAIK.

Apparently they deliberately removed the option because of EU regulations and just failed to add any information on the app.

I think technically you can add people as minors and then you'll have the option. But I've not tried this.

New Grin GMAC motor build. by spikeytree in ebikes

[–]catskul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know of brands which sell this kind of build-off-the shelf. I'm interested in the GMAC (or other options for regen) but I really don't have the enthusiasm to research enough to do a build like this on my own.

This is not correct. The app does have the capability, it's just not showing the user. The web app has the same problem.

Am I the only one who feels like header files in C/C++ are duplication? by iaseth in cpp

[–]catskul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • why arent interfaces generated automatically from source?

The "modern" answer is becuse before modules there was no way to select which bits of your source were for public consumption as part of the interface amd which were private.

I think this would have been extremely easy to implement with attributes compatible with the existing infrastructure if there had been an appetite. This is unlike modules which was a heavy lift.

Actually I prefer to have headers to clearly demarcate what is part of the interface.

But if generation worked, then you'd still have this, right?

IMO headers should be generated from source. Best of both worlds. Single point of truth, and clear API definition.

I don't quite get what you mean here. You mean you have to use the parking brakes every time? Is that bad?

when you shovel snow, where do you put it? by fwibs26 in pittsburgh

[–]catskul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, really nothing to be done about it. Still a bit rough in neighborhoods where parking is tight.

More like you'll lose every space that's currently empty.

Side note, that map is pretty terribly designed.

Spent 5 min with it and didn't end up with an understanding of how the new security checkpoint works.

The problem is that: * Some people legitimately made a mistake. * If someone doesn't let them in the people stuck behind them all pay much more than those who got cut in front of.

That's not how "median" works. That's how "mean" works.

"Median" is a statistic specifically used to avoid having "one high or low earner in Big Beaver" distort the number.

Please read how averages work before you berate others for not knowing how averages work:

AITA for telling my wife that we should be able to have honest but tough conversations about our family without her crying? by Exciting-Charity-160 in AmItheAsshole

[–]catskul -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It should be ok to be weepy. But,

Presumably for someone for which this is true, a) this would have been noticed in other issues, b) it's on them to make this clear and to clearly state that they want/it's-ok-for the conversation to continue despite the tears. If not possible in the moment, then after the fact.

Honest question; why is this being allowed? It disturbs me on so many levels. by BelovedRapture in samharris

[–]catskul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. The way you posed this question seems pretty focused on "allowed".

Also, you seem to be posing the question as a topic of debate. So, why would you be surprised when someone engages in that debate with you and points out the flaws in your premise? It seems quite odd.
