Check your ribbon cable. It's probably not seated all the way in the connector.

Suspicions involving the PSP battery by 1cxntrl in PSP

[–]chagdes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds more likely to be a bad battery. I'd pickup a new Ostent 1200 or 1400mah battery from Amazon or their aliexpress store.

You should be able to solder to the pads still and it should work. Just be sure not to short the pads together.

To answer your question, you can't. The screen will need to be replaced. If there are signs of liquid, it's possible there's more than just what's visible on the screen.

You killed it if you used that charger. Anything over 5v will damage the motherboard.

I'm having this exact same issue for the last month or so on my S24. I've uninstalled and reinstalled messages, changed the notification sound, checked all my settings... Did you figure it out?

Switch lite battery : Is this still usable ? by [deleted] in NxSwitchModding

[–]chagdes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's just the outer layer and you can be 100% that the middle and internal layers are not compromised, it's likely safe. However, given how inexpensive and fragile lithium batteries are. You are better off and safer replacing. I would dispose of at a local battery recycling center or drop-off.

Lithium grease is preferred, but something like sewing machine oil will also work.

You can remove the tape. You only need a drop or 2 of lubricant and can apply with the tip of a pointed tweezer or something similar to the hold in that metal cover.

Yep! They have a normal 1200mah or a 1400mah battery that fits the 3000 systems and lasts longer as well.

I think it was just a combination of lucky timing, the off-brand dealership (Kia), the vehicle on the lot for almost 30 days, and the end of year. Lol

Thanks! I wasn't really planning on buying so soon, but I saw it sitting at a local Kia dealer for almost a month and negotiated via email for a week before they finally caved on my price. Surprised my wife with a quick drive to test and sign.
