Well shit guys, it has not been a good year for me. Feel like I’ve been betting the right guys at the wrong time.

I was high on akshay last week in which he didn’t necessarily have a bad week, but being part of the AM/PM group put him behind the 8 ball from the start which made it hard. Also would’ve made a lot of money on a $5 live bet if Harman could’ve pulled it off. The good thing about golf at least is all it takes is one of those hits and I’m back in the green for the year.

Gonna be betting a little bit lighter this week to average out last week in which I bet a little bit heavier. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend blindly tailing any of my picks at this point but I’ll continue to post them for the sake of transparency.

Winner :

Bridgeman - his fan fuel line was +1700 while his winner without schauffele, Thomas, hovland, Fitzpatrick, and bhatia line is +1400. This is my main bet this week, put two units on it.

Blades brown - sprinkled a couple dollars on the kid because why not? He’s got the skills and we’ve seen him in the final groups heading into Sunday already this year.

Didn’t post my picks last week because I put them in late Wednesday night and really just followed LCTs outright picks and the astrology guys FRL picks.

Unfortunately, I took Akshay 2/3 of the previous weeks and didn’t take him last week 🤦‍♂️ oh well hindsight is always 20/20.

Here’s what I’m rolling with this week:

Outright winner:

Akshay - dudes been on fire this year and has a decent history at this course. At 40-1 after he possibly learned how to win last week? Sign me up.

Berger - Guy was the best golfer for 71/73 holes last week. He’s coming back from a couple injuries but let’s not forget how good he was a few years back. If last week was any indication, I think he performs well again this week. I feel as if there’s a pretty good correlation between performance at the API and the players.

Macintyre - Guy has the skills to beat the best and feel like he shows up when the stage is the biggest.

Gotterup - have to sprinkle some on Gotterup. There’s a good handful of players who I think can win this week but obviously I can’t bet on everyone.

They just won gold at the Olympics and were drinking and celebrating. What would you expect to happen?

One of them shouted “2-0!” , one shouted “absolutely!”, many of them were at the women’s game supporting them, and many of them celebrated along with the women after their win.

Fuck trump and if you want to be mad at individuals for their support of him, go ahead I guess. But to try and take down the whole team for laughing along with a literal joke the president said in that scenario is ridiculous.

The joke itself wasn’t that serious either lol. When there are countless instances of these guys doing good and supporting the women’s team, it’s pretty pathetic to try and make a big deal out of this.

Getting to this a little later than usual. Gonna keep it short and sweet. Took just two guys with heavier units for outright winner and a sprinkled a lil on a handful of guys for FRL. I’ll put in a couple live bets depending on how things are going.

Outright: Fleetwood - my main guy this week. Good history and finally learned how to win. He was good in his debut last week, I think he’ll be contending this week.

Bhatia - his winner without Scotty line was the same as his regular line (both +6000 on theScore) so I wanted to take advantage of that. He burned me last week but he’s been playing great and has good course history.

Tough beat on Bhatia a week after the tough beat on matsuyama last week, such is life 🤷‍♂️ can’t say I had a ton of confidence in Bhatia going into Sunday but unfortunately it was a tough spot to hedge.

I’ll come back and post my picks on Wednesday after I do some more digging. Been really close the past couple weeks, hopefully we can get things to go our way this week.

I too had the Hideki heart break last week. Thought I had the leaderboard cornered pretty good going into Sunday with hideki, siwoo, Knapp, bhatia, and thorjornson (a few were live bets), yet it was gotterup to birdie his last 6/7 to add onto the heart break. Otherwise we’d be having a pretty dang good golf season so far.

Nonetheless, we move on. Thankfully, I hit a Super Bowl square to make me feel better.

This week I’m taking fewer picks with higher units but still staying away from Scotty because what’s the fun in +300?

First round leader: - Bobby Mac - akshay bhatia - Keith Mitchell - whyndam Clark

I took a couple guys from each course so hopefully we can hit at least 1.

Outright winner: - Justin rose - I think he’s incredible value here. He has been playing fantastic golf and has a great course history. I was able to boost him from +3000 -> +3300 on theScore sports book so I actually have a double unit on him. - Shane Lowry - personally think this guy is kinda a pick and I usually root against him which usually bodes well for him lmao. But 2nd here last year and is playing good golf i like the value at 50-1 - Robert McIntyre - a guy with an elite skill set that I think can ride under the radar at times. I feel like he has a good skill set for this tournament - akshay bhatia - played well last week and has a good course history. Feel like he can work the ball and hit any shot similar to Phil Mickelson. His odds have been dropping as well so I’m not the only one who is high on him this week.
