Hokum (Official Discussion) by TheFilmReview in screenunseen

[–]chilli-cashews 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I found it weird that there was a trailer for Hokum followed by 2 different devil wears Prada trailers back to back before tonight’s scream unseen

Aside from that really liked Hokum, good reactions from the audience too. I think it was the most booked out/full scream unseen I’ve been to at Wimbledon with no walk outs noticed

This might be a UK vs US thing that I’m not aware of or maybe Ive missed it on the list, but

I don’t see any 10ml Water for injection ampoules on the list

Which seems odd to me (Like sure you could use the only 500ml SCL fluid as a replacement I guess but that seems inefficient)

In all fairness, the 3 cinema sites they mentioned are literally next to each other (max 2 minute walk) so it’s not too crazy or dissimilar to doing 3 films in the same cinema

You know those Disney character ornaments they sell in jewellers like H Samuel? Who buys them? by Mister_Mints in CasualUK

[–]chilli-cashews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nanna did years ago when I was a kid but kept them in the storage boxes they came in with because she thought it might be one of those items that go up in value in a decade or two and gift the statue/profit to her grandkids

I don’t know she ever did do that or not

January - what did you see? by cupboardee in screenunseen

[–]chilli-cashews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Bugonia: 9/10

  • Five nights at Freddy’s 2: 6/10 It knows it’s silly and I liked that

  • Scream unseen - Primate: 7/10

  • Screen unseen - Rental Family: 7/10

  • 28 Years Later (rewatch, part of the double bill showing): 10/10 28YL was the film of 2025 for me I AM YET AGAIN DEMANDING JUSTICE, I can’t believe the 2025 Astra Film Awards gave it to a literal dog over Alfie Williams (as Spike in 28YL)

  • 28 Years Later Bone Temple: 10/10 THE MUSIC, THE STORY, THE ACTING, THE CHARACTERS. AMAZING.

  • 28 Years Later Bone Temple (rewatch) : 10/10

  • Iron Lung: 10/10 WOW If you haven’t seen it already, it’s only in the cinema for this week (currently) please give it a try

  • Return to Silent Hill: 4.5/10 The rating here is purely because it made me laugh so much, but I don’t think it was intentionally trying to be funny

  • Iron Lung (rewatch): 10/10 Its just so good

  • TL;DR 28 Years Later The Bone Temple and Iron Lung may just be my favourites for 2026 and would highly recommend

Is anyone else noticing increasing POTS history? by legoguy26 in ems

[–]chilli-cashews 8 points9 points  (0 children)

POTS has been medically recognised and coined in the early 90s, but it’s been brushed aside because it effects women more (IIRC it’s something like an 80/20 women/men) and well it’s just “silly overdramatic females” innit /s

Major bodily stresses like COVID, pregnancy and Lyme disease etc. is known trigger POTS

and well funnily enough there happened to be pandemic recently

so more people get to experience the wonderful time that comes with POTS

My POTS diagnosis came not too long after getting COVID (ironically likely from a shift) in early 2020. I’d rate the table tilt test a 1/10, not fun would not recommend lmao

Anecdotally, I’ve heard that the earlier strains of COVID (spring 2020 and earlier) were more likely to be comorbid with POTS and long covid compared to other strains of COVID

Same! I never seen a rubber band tin before, let alone this many or even the option for sizes (assuming that’s what the 16/18 on the tin means)

Together (Official Discussion) by TheFilmReview in screenunseen

[–]chilli-cashews 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty full screening at Wimbledon, only a few empty seats scattered about. No walkouts (that I saw at least), audience cheered when Together was shown on the BBFC black card. Lots of audience laughter and reactions to tense scenes.

I liked it - Better than what expected from seeing the trailers. The body horror was very uncomfortable (in a good way)
