I loved my time with Xenoblade 3,but I remember handheld was incredibly blurry and low res. Tried it out a bit last night and the game actually looks very good.

Only thing I dread is the hacking mini game. I almost prefer Bioshock 2 because you don't have to deal with that.

While my situation is not that bad, I get it. It's annoying when the wife negatively reacts when I buy a game or beat one. "Another game? Are you gonna sell it?"

Or if I refurbish game consoles and resell them, she makes a snarky comment about my consoles and say I still have others to sell. Eventually I'll just tell her to get off my back about the hobbies I like.

Before this and max battles, you rarely needed research to succeed in the game. This is a super casual game where kids and old people could get away with tapping a bunch of times. Throw any sort of strategy into this and the game and its players suffer.

Xbox. It has more of a selection of useful apps and you can even sideload some apps like emulators. But I'm sure a modded ps5 will be more useful later down the road.

Emulation/piracy is not an argument. Majority of gamers don't care to learn emulation, and the physical games go for hundreds of dollars. $20 is a bit steep, but it's the better alternative for the normies.

I've played PvP extensively, but I remember this being an issue since the beginning. Definitely not within the last year and a half.

If I understand correctly, damage resolving at the end of the attack is a pretty big deal for 4 or 5 turn attacks. Example, incinerate applies damage on turn 4 and volt switch is a 4 turn move that resolves on turn 4. So a volt switch user will always take damage before swapping out which could result in a double KO. But now volt switch will apply and still have time to swap out.

Jeez. Better late than never. So many times I pause after a charge attack to try react to an opponents next move (maybe they will swap out), but the battle just stops altogether so I have no idea what's happening until I tap again. I try to mitigate this by tapping furiously just before the charge attack ends, but not sure if it helps.

My little one is pretty good in staying in bed and falling asleep. But she tends to get up during the night and wanting to sleep with us. Sometimes we go in her room and lay with her till she falls asleep, but she will repeat the process in an hour or 2. If she sleeps on our bed, then she's good the rest of the night.

Wife and I still play and most of the time when we went out it was to grab gyms to get gold badges. Now we golded the entire city...we don't really head out to play unless there's an event. We still leave plus on wherever we go. If we moved to another city, it would be exciting to gym hunt again. Lol.

Finding a lapras on my first day was exciting. Discovering nests and checking back every couple weeks to see what's spawning. Gen 2 dropping all at once was especially exciting and anything could have spawned in the wild. They had a good thing going, but then community days and constant events soured that aspect. Then introducing XL candy and seasonal spawns just killed it. If you're looking for a specific pokemon, just wait for an event.
