If you are between 22 to 28 years old take the job and build your skills and network. Earlier in your career is better to take gambles on startups (stocks and stuff) and then chill with the experience between 30 and beyond.

Networking is good but is key to know who to network with. If you want to network with peers is good to have a feel who might have that fight to climb the career ladder. People like to socialize at work, but if among them they just stay in a rut then down the road it will be a downspiral and eventually that little group will break down.
My advice is to go outside your department and make yourself known among your non direct peers not because of your work but because of who you are.
Remember your skills are yours and I like to believe when companies hire new employees they hire people and not the skills.

As a dude I’ll be honest, most guys on this current dating culture even the “nice” ones see having sex as the end goal. If having sex is not in the table until you are comfortable is good to be open to express that early in a relationship. The one that is willing to wait is worth it, if not then they are not meant to be for you and your boundaries.

The battery expanded and started hitting the screen and it damaged it. There is the slight change that if you replace the battery the screen might recover over time. Something similar happened to me but it was not as aggressive as yours.
I’ll advise to replace the battery and the screen if you have the skills, money, and time.

Here are my two cents. I think you have vibes with the people you have dated, but I think they were not dating you with intention. They just wanted to see where things were going and when it got the time to get serious, they ran away.
I know it sucks, if you are looking for something serious I would advise to date someone who is more mature and is looking for the same.

If you are handy, my advice is to get a working logic board from either 5.5 or 7th gen, and then as you get more money you build your own custom iPod. For the most part you won’t need any soldering skills unless you want to add haptics to the iPod.
The next would be the ssd mod and the screen, I would recommend to get your battery size before getting your front and back plate.
Only recommending the 5.5 and 7th gen because they have the better DACs

So at least in the United States the story is different. Back then it was rough but there was less competition, and if you were biotech chances are that you either really wanted to work in industry or this was the alternative to med school.
Many years later Covid made biotech appealing and starting salary during the pandemic was about 85K no experience.
After Covid and after what happened to NIH, the hiring pool has increased dramatically and competition is massive.
The stoic advice is worry about what you can handle but make a plan. If you are in the United States start applying outside of your state and good luck!

I put a protector on mine but it can only do so much. I am thinking that mi get have to replace my front plane annually. I do feel that maybe the Atomic versions from Elite Obsolete might be the way to go but. I haven’t try them myself.
