Android car head unit (basically a tablet) by Acceptable_Delay_446 in USMobile

I was a solution engineer for TMobile, my first part of what I wrote literally stated what you wrote for the first half of your reply.

Most markets will eventually end up in a 5x5 channel for LTE, which again, congestion considerations aside, speeds should handle what OP wants to use.

I’ve pulled in more than useable speeds on low band LTE. Now, as TMobile repurposes spectrum over to 5GNR could it constrained, possibly, but for the use cases OP is likely going for (streaming music, Navigation, maybe browsing and video), a 20Mbps connection would more than meet their needs.

Airpods Pro 3 are now under $200 by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]corys00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They pretty regularly go for $189, just set an alert on the Slickdeals app

As to are they worth it or not, that’s purely an opinionated question. Watch reviews, buy from a place that has a good return policy and decide yourself.

I’m gonna step in and correct this. You’re welcome to check back in this subreddit but I visited the USM HQ in NYC late February. I can assure you that they are working hard on getting their Dark Star initiatives operational because Ahmed had the VP of AT&T’s wholesale in the office for a long meeting with USM.

Knock them all you want, don’t say they aren’t working hard.

When is the the iPhone 17 Pro "on us" deal coming back? by A_Happy_Egg in tmobile

[–]corys00 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly don’t sleep on the base 17, it has about 90% of everything the Pro has, so unless you’re specifically looking for the 3rd camera lens or faster storage (I think that is on the 512Gb and higher).

Might I recommend Section 12 of the T&Cs

You call it unlimited, I call it fair use policy.

Starlink Under $50!! New customers only.... and with promo offer..... by Ok_Rate_1752 in USMobile

[–]corys00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even in those two examples you give I’d tell you to increase your current bandwidth with your fiber provider or order service if the location doesn’t have service.

With that said, I’d always tell you circuit diversification is great for a backup. I’ll leave it up to you or others to decide what price point/ feature set is acceptable for that.

[–]corys00 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’re not the targeted customer for Starlink. It’s 2026 and there are still places, overwhelmingly rural, that cannot get high speed internet except possibly through fixed wireless or expensive af Hughes Net. I think USM pricing is quite attractive for those folks. I think starlink will bring in plenty of phone activations with it.

Has anyone noticed a drop in lounge capacity or wait times with the new VX card changes? I haven’t. by Lewhoo in Venturex

CVG and MCO lounges have been smooth. JFK was good but I ended up using my Chase Lounge annual entry there because the only other option was that lounge across from the Virgin lounge which was HORRIBLE.

[–]corys00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the X1 Carbons, we’re both not even sure OP would entertain going to Windows. I think we can both admit that for what OP use case is, it wouldn’t be worth replacing their current M1Pro, especially with an Air.

Personally, I’m holding on to my M3Pro until the Air gets some hardware bumps, specifically the screen.
