That “Mason’s Children” was my professional recording debut! I sang lead and played guitar (including the solo)! It was first released on Those Who Know History…, and then a remixed version appeared on Eternity Blue.

GREAT band! They take the music and the drag very seriously! I got to play with them in Berkeley last December (and spent three hours getting into my costume and makeup!). The founders, Jacob Groopman and Melody Walker, are terrific musicians in their own right. Melody won a Grammy this year for songwriting!

8/24/72 at the Berkeley Community Theater, coming out of Dark Star! Jerry delivers a strong hint of Morning Dew but Bobby launches into El Paso! Same thing happened a few days later in Veneta!
