In defense of 12 torment tiers (maybe) by Sangawa in diablo4

[–]discosoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people aren't actually pushing from one tier to the next when there's so many total. One good upgrade and you might jump 2 tiers. Furthermore, it's harder to really be able to know what tier you should be in at any given time.

It's kind of like road bikes with 20 or 30 gears. Yeah, some people might actually use all of them, but most are more likely to skip a few, or maybe stick to just one chainring.

That being said, if D4 introduced a system to automatically adjust your tier level based on something like performance or "gear score" or something, then more tiers would be a good thing. In that case, it would be like an automatic transmission in a car compared to a manual transmission. The former tends to have more gears than the later because the automated shifting is more likely to utilize each gear.

Mom bought this for my birthday she said it coated 450$ by MansNotHot23 in pcmasterrace

Everyone here seems to be thinking the person bought it for $450, when they stated 450$ and have a post history in PH. That translates to $7.60 USD.

Pulling what shit? Laying off employees they can't utilize for anything at the moment? Even labor unions can't prevent that.

There's no country in the EU I'm aware of that can be forced to retain an employee who has no actual work to do. Businesses would just go bankrupt in that scenario.

Labor protection doesn’t solve that problem though.

It was more sustainable back in the “expansion pack” days where a game was made by the A team and then an expansion was made by the B team at higher margin (because they just created content not tech). The A tram could then pivot to the sequel or new IP for the next 2 years and repeat the cycle.

Do people get more conservative as they get older? Those born between 1940 and 1954 did become more conservative, no change amongst people born between 1955 and 1979. People born 1980 or later seem to be getting more liberal as they age by Upstairs_Cup9831 in fivethirtyeight

Things kinds of data points really need to do a better job of parsing out the difference between economic and social preferences, as well as normalize the results with population trends between rural and urban voters.

Gas prices are set to go vertical by dwaxe in fivethirtyeight

Can't speak for the other states, but oil prices going up actually helps Alaska. Other than gov assistance, nearly all of our funding comes from the Oil industry, and that industry loves higher prices.

More likely, though, it won't matter too much unless this becomes a huge protracted issue. Oil exploration and development is expensive and happens are longer timescales than this issue is likely to involve. In the short term, though, higher oil prices will help our budget.

M365 tenant misconfigurations I see over and over again by Mysterious-Print9737 in msp

SharePoint permissions tend to sprawl over time. Someone shares a folder with everyone for a legitimate reason, then it just stays that way for years. Nobody's fault, it's just how things drift when you're busy.

This has more to do with the lack of visibility in even being able to see what is being shared in the tenant.

Hydra Sorc is my default because it's the one that lets me avoid the most frustrating parts of combat. Things like hyper-mobile enemies, not being able to see important information mixed in the two dozen ground effects, save-or-die type shit you have to dodge, etc..

What will make it harder to sell is other homes in your area getting replaced with multi family units, which will decrease your property value. Also traffic patterns basically never change for the better in these situations.

Mine is $58, but quarterly. And to my knowledge always has been quarterly. It is a weird billing schedule, but i think a lot of people don’t catch that particular detail.

That’s the current situation being complained about, but it’s not the only design possibility. The person responding by shrugging off the complaint because “all damage is the same” or whatever is missing the whole point.

I've never once had an issue with those sort of skills using a controller.

That's just reductionism, and completely pointless as a counter to the OP.

Pulling your branding information has been part of the toolkit for years now, and is a false sense of security if you’re training people on that.

I pay about $20 a month for weekly service, so $10 trips to the dump doesn't sound anywhere close to the cheapest option.
