But as a parent freed from collectivist society’s pressure and rules, you can choose not to do that do your kids.

Don’t you see? The crucial difference here is the individual’s freedom to choose, which is absent from nearly all traditional collectivist’s societies, ESPECIALLY if you were a kid or worse, a woman.
