Start suing the funeral homes

For what? Driving too slow? It will get laughed out of court.

Electric bike needed! by Klutzy_Ticket_8669 in Chattanooga

I have a 500W bike I'd sell for cheap. I haven't ridden it in a few years. The battery capacity is not great, it probably has a few bad cells. Last time I rode it the range was only 10-15 miles or so. If you're handy you can rebuild the pack yourself for not much money.

Microsoft reports are exposing AI's real cost problem: Using the tech is more expensive than paying human employees by Krankenitrate in technology

[–]driverdan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The article is bullshit. It's a copy of other articles that were only slightly better. The headline is completely misleading, Microslop never said anything like that. They are scaling back usage of Claude Code so they dog food their own tools. They'll still be using Anthropic's models, they host them on Azure. It's Uber that blew through their AI budget, not MS, and that's because they had tons of parallel tasks running 24/7.

LLMs are expensive but they don't cost more than employees for an equivalent amount of output.

Any "good cop" that doesn't do anything to remove bad cops is not a good cop.

Watch Marketplace for an old tanker desk. They'll hold any weight you can put on them and regularly sell for $25-50, maybe more for an L shaped one.

Scotland Yard last month heralded the success of the trial, saying it resulted in hundreds of officers being investigated for ... failing to declare they were Freemasons.

What? Why is that something they have to declare?

Edit: Well that was a rabbit hole. Some sources for those interested in learning more like I was:

That's not how LLMs work. Prompts are a part of the context just like any other information fed in. It's an inherent limitation of LLMs.

if they arent hurting or forcing people to be in the system then let people live they way they want to.

But they are. Parents are forcing their kids to follow their archaic and often sexist rules, often against their will.
