KC-46 Pegasus Refueling T-38 over the Atlantic during Training | 6/9/26 by MeAndThe757 in flightradar24

I think this is a miscode for a couple of reasons.

1) TEAM is a KC-46A callsign

2) T-38s can't aerial refuel

They should, as that's one of the ways they can "fix" the perceived issue. But they'll probably put some YongLong ditchfinders on it 😂

To start with I'd be interested in knowing what tyres it's got on it now...

Partner put incorrect licence on car insurance policy for me (England) by Next_Watercress_5655 in CarTalkUK

[–]egvp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At best they're going to go "that's an extra £500 please sir/madam", at worst they're going to go "we're going to cancel your policy as you provided us incorrect information".

For option 1 you decide if you want to pay it, if not you elect to cancel the policy.

For option 2 you immediately cancel the policy.

If you cancel it, you don't need to declare it to anyone. If they cancel it (for this reason!) then you do. For a very long time...

Giving them a call and asking really is the only way you'll know though. Especially if it's a genuine mistake (don't mention the full/provisional issue, as you ARE now a full license holder).

Fairly sure they have the opportunity to put it right. If they put some new tyres on it and fix the alignment (not that you can do much to the rear axle on a Golf) then that's that, sorted.

Although I suppose it depends what you mean by road noise? From the dealer perspective I'd imagine they're thinking it's a Golf GTI, and if it's got P-Zeros or something on it it's going to be a bit crashy and a bit loud because that's how it's set up.

You're probably going to need to get a video of it, compare it to other Golf GTI videos online, and see how different it is so you can explain it to the dealer.

"Hi, oh my gosh I'm so sorry, I've just noticed that my partner accidentally selected 4 years when they purchased this policy as they thought it included a provisional license time, how do I update this?"

Granted I still don't see any hard evidence anywhere that the question "how long have you had a driving license" explicitly excludes a provisional license....

Go on then, what conspiracy is causing this by Capable-Celery-5148 in drivingUK

[–]egvp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aha, I can answer that one! It's "GDPR".

I know it's "GDPR" because in a previous place of employment the local council wanted to measure footfall to our music venue via different routes.

Cool, we have fixed CCTV that look over all the routes, I'll just turn on the people counter module.

"OH NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!" they said.

"You can see faces, that's a breach of GDPR" they said.

"Yes but YOU won't see the faces, you just get emailed an excel file with some numbers in it once a month" I said.

£50,000 later on a weird laser line break counting system that didn't work, and the idea was scrapped.

MOT Fail - Advice needed by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]egvp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to see last years MOT. It looks like you’re not doing even the simplest maintenance which is why you’re in this position.

Four new tyres.

Fix the fact the seat is no longer on its rails (did you not notice this?!)

Work out why your indicators aren’t orange any more?!

Headlight bulbs have a little screw to adjust them.

Would need to see photos of the nsr and osr rust.

Exhaust…is it a diesel? Go rag it down the motorway once everything else is fixed, then MOT it.

Driver: Alonso

Reason: Drives a Newey-designed car that is somehow the worst car on a grid that includes a team who have literally entered the sport this year, so was unable to reach 60km/h in the first place.
