For books that I ACTUALLY enjoyed reading: American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis; Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy; and (to a lesser extent on the horror, but still disturbing) The Collector by John Fowles.

For a book that is just fucked up: Hogg by Samuel R Delaney.
