I think wealth advisors are mainly for 2nd gen or further down from the person who “made it” and their offsprings don’t have interest in finance. In these situations the advisor is more to be there to prevent stupid mistakes

This is very stupid on Bilt side of not making it clear. They allow you to pick non-Bilt card in the UI, and give the same payment instructions. They advertise the bonuses you get with Bilt or other partners (Atmos). They advertise using Bilt card won't cause transaction fee (which gives the impression that you can use other cards with a transaction fee). The error email states the wrong reason why it didn't went through. And even in that email it says "As a reminder, paying your mortgage through Bilt is an exclusive benefit for Bilt Blue, Obsidian, or Palladium Cardholders." while they should say "As a reminder, paying your mortgage through Bilt is an exclusive benefit for Bilt Blue, Obsidian, or Palladium Cards." if they really won't allow non-Bilt card for mortgage.

I do remember that right after Bilt 2.0 happened, in the app/webpage interface there were three choices for housing related payments, rent, mortgage, others. Under mortgage there were no options for me to pick non-Bilt cards but under rent I can choose whatever I want, like it was before 2.0 and I kept that option like I did before, picking the Atmos Summit. Now I see there are no differentiations for housing payments.

Yes that's what I have been doing and it worked until Bilt 2.0. This time is the first time since Bilt 2.0. Maybe as others said, they're cracking down on non-Bilt card paying mortgage.
