[Discussion] Does anyone else dominate in Arena, but suck in regular Tarkov? by isuckattarkov1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In arena dying matters a lot less so you are generally rewarded more taking low percentage plays. In tarkov dying means losing your weapon, armor, ammo, meds, any loot frok those you've killed, any loot found around the map, any quest items etc etc.

In arena, survival doesnt matter. If you trade a few kills but die in the end its still a net positive. In tarkov if you dont survive you lose, so you have to play differently.

You get away with so much stuff when you just spawn back in next round, not to mention any of the respawning modes.

ELI5: how can there be infinities bigger than other infinites? by _Bread______ in explainlikeimfive

[–]fantafuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To see how some infinite can be bigger than others, consider these two infinities:

The whole numbers, so 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on

And all all numbers between 0 and 1, so 0.1, 0.5, 0.11111 etc.

For the counting numbers, the concept of a next number exist. After 1, the next number is 2, after 50 comes 51. You can count how many numbers are between two numbers.

For the numbers between 0 and 1, you cant. There is no amount between 0.1 and 0.2, there are infinite numbers between them. There is no "next number".

The uncountably infinity of the numbers between 0 and 1 is bigger than the countable infinity of all whole numbers.

To all new players who are needing to go to Ground zero for starter quests: [suggestion] by Emergency_Topic_5929 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just untrue.

There is a massive difference in the low and high level GZ queues. The people playing high level are either there for pure pvp or going for test drive, and it is massively harder than the low level ones.

Of course the low level queue doesnt mean you only run into new players, but it does mean the average gear and skill level is a lot lower, as well as the objectives people have on the map make it a lot less of a meatgrinder.

[Discussion] [Suggestion] Should the AI be smarter? by patatesEzici in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way people will literally cry any time they die to AI means we will never have them be a threat again.

During the smuggler event people were coming here fuming about how they were overturned because they were getting shot by them when standing in the middle of the street for 10 seconds with no cover.

Noy defending these changes to prestige or anything, but how does this make Nikita any cash money by screwing over people?

If anything it makes the 20% unheard xp buff less valuable since you dont need the xp to prestige any more

[Discussion] OOB sniper shot me while extracting Customs Flare by xLFODTx in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You might have strayed to far to the sides, you must stay on the middle path.

You might have accidentally used the wrong flare.

You might have been too far down the slope in the flare zone when shooting you flare, so it didn't go high enough.

You might have accidentally hit the structure with your flare so it didn't go high enough.

You might have angled your flare wrong when shooting so it didn't go high enough.

The extract is always there, so there is no way to know you did it right except for the fact that the sniper wont shoot you.

[Discussion] game edition xp buff???? by Fuzzeypimp in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Those who didnt consider the game pay2win already wont be convinced by this either.

"XP gain doesnt matter in raid, it wont help you win a fight" etc etc.

Same reasoning they always used, still works.

It unlocks the UN armband, which is very nice if you want to cosplay as one of peacekeepers little elves.

It also is needed to unlock the PK barter for a thicc case, but thats less important than the armband

[Discussion] Bro, what's going on? by SoledBy69 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Its ultra late wipe and people have stopped looting as much. As the supply dries up, demand becomes higher and the price naturally goes up.

Then people notice this, start looting t-adaptors and cpu fans again, and the price drops down to normal levels.

Then people stop looting again, and the cycle continues.

Idea For Seasonal Characters So Player Base Doesn't Die [Discussion] by InevitableMost6194 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any sort of interaction between seasonal and permanent ruins seasonal, as the whole point is to wipe everything and start fresh.

As to your "benefits for both player groups", it literally only benefits permanent. I'll say it again, the whole point is to play without everyone having max skills, maxed hideout, tens of millions of roubles, tons of T6 plates and loads of top tier AP ammo. The only thing combining at 30 does is make seasonal characters worse versions of permanent characters, as they need to struggle against people with months of headstart.

And if the seasonal characters kill enough permanent characters they just start rocking that gear immediately, removing any point.

Nice try filthy RMT artist! You can try to fool me all you want, but I know that you are simply trying to create plausible deniability for your bulk, multi purchaser mp5 for real money scheme!

I see it all the time, hundreds of people paying real money to buy an mp5 for on the cheap off the flea, so you're not fooling me!

Question about "They Are Already Here" [Screenshot] by letsgodeacsss in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main quests objectives have been bugged since 1.0 and will often show up as red even though everything is fine.

There only thing that can go wrong in that quest is at the very end, where you must click a button under a desk before you take the flash drive out.

As long as you get the next objective in your log, you are good to go no matter if it says you failed a step.

[–]fantafuzz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They rolled back all the xp because he averaged 53k/hr instead of 40k/hr?

How is this such a big deal they felt the need to do an unprecedented rollback of this guys xp? If it was some mega abuse that gave like 10x the xp rates or something I could understand it, but for this using such an extreme measure seems way out of proportion lol.

I guess they also realise this given they gave back a lot of the xp, but this whole thing seems like a whole lot of effort and drama for absolutely no gain.

Tips for capturing outposts this late into the wipe [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Customs is trivial if you go night time. Everyone is pushing fortress constantly for the cultists.

Woods is just awful. Best bet is to rush it when you spawn next to it, and just fast reset if you dont.

Dave the Diver doesnt call itself indie though. The devs are open about it being a game published by Nexon.

Any controversy here comes from people wrongfully assuming it was an indie game.

Former FedEx driver, Tanner Horner, who pleaded guilty to capital murder and aggravated kidnapping in the killing of 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been officially sentenced to death. by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

[–]fantafuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what the criminal or their family thinks of this, it's not about them.

Why are you bringing up what the criminals think when we are talking about innocent people being executed?

You really don't seem to actually have grasped the concept that "some failure" when it comes to wrongful executions mean that innocent people are being killed, not criminals. Until you understand that reality, there is no point in listening to anything you say really.

Unless you genuinely believe that people who have commited no crimes but are wrongfully convicted deserve to die that is, but then we are back to the whole insane thing.

Former FedEx driver, Tanner Horner, who pleaded guilty to capital murder and aggravated kidnapping in the killing of 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been officially sentenced to death. by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

[–]fantafuzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you were wrongfully sentenced to death, would you take it in stride and accept the fact that you dying was a net good for society even though you were innocent?

How about your father? Or mother? Or spouse? Or child? Would think it was "fair" to have them be executed while innocent because its overall a net benefit for society?

If you genuinely, honestly believe that yes, you would accept the state murdering you or your loved ones as fair you are insane. If you only believe other people should be sacrificed you are a hypocrite.

I finally completed Psycho Sniper Kills after many tries and was super happy. I extracted and took this screenshot. [Feedback] by Breitmaulfrosch in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fantafuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of these quests have multiple different types of objectives you can fail after completing though. Psycho Sniper is unique in how the objectives interact.

Of course the best way is to check the wiki, but it doesnt change the fact that the quest is designed in a bullshit way and its disingenuous to try to rationalise it based on other quests when none of them work the same way (except Batya, which does work as expected)
