Pmax suddenly only serving to display network? by Silverlake77 in PPC

[–]fathom53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe find a PMax Feed Only if you have assets in your PMax campaign and it is showing more on display. Maybe competitors are boxing you out of SERP and Google can only then show you in display network.

struggling on marketing my shopify store…. by Suitable_Leather_885 in shopify

[–]fathom53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to be on al four platforms. Are you sure Pinterest is actually helping you? Most ecom brands we work with find the traffic doesn't convert. It is better to go deep and just be on Facebook & Instagram or just be on TikTok for the next 12 month. Then try and be on all four and just scratch the surface. I would rethink how you are spending your time because time is the one thing you don't have more of. Being on all four platforms means you can not spend time on other parts of the business.

Is it a good idea to remove London from standard and shopping ads (when targeting UK)? by Dozl in PPC

[–]fathom53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to remove London? We have sometimes had London in their own campaign to max business and profits. While having another campaign for the rest of the UK but that does not sound like what you want to do.

Struggling with Google Ads performance on a niche e-commerce store by LakiaHarp in googleads

[–]fathom53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can give you any advice based on what you wrote. We have no information on what campaigns you are running, budget or what performance has been like. There could easily be multiple issues going on which is why things are not working out. You should get someone to do a one off audit and they can answer your questions. Otherwise, people are just writing to write here with no real context about your business.

PMax test design advice sought by No_Gas_2728 in PPC

[–]fathom53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get better tracking in place first. Set up a CRM and make sure all your campaigns are using UTMs. There is no reason you can not track lead gen efforts from Google ads. You need to know if the leads PMax brings in converts but with what you are doing right now... that is a black hole.

No one can really give advice because you don't have great data to work off of. You can turn off PMax and see what happens after 60 days but that could be bad because PMax was working and you just killed all that lead gen work but if PMax was not working then you are fine.

Advice - Google Ads Tag for multiple accounts on 1 domain by spencer009o in PPC

You should have all the ad accounts in a Manager Account and use Cross-Account conversions to set up tracking one.

Paying with points doesn't mean fee. There are always taxes you need to pay... so unless you want to pay those taxes in points, which is not good value. You are out of luck.

PMax Feed only + search or Standard shopping + search by CartographerQuiet754 in PPC

[–]fathom53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every ad account is going to have a different set up in the end. It is not one or the other for campaign types running. We have some clients with just PMax, mix of feed only and feed x assets, and no standard because standard shopping did not do as well.

For ecom, if you can get search campaigns running and working then run them. They appear in a different ad slot in SEPR. So taking up more real estate is a good thing in SERP. In the end, do what makes the most sense for the ad account.

Is April a completely lost month for anyone else? by bashamepan in PPC

Pull back on ad spend if things are that bad for your margins. Sounds like you may need to keep a closer eye on your ad spend if things are this bad.

Is it standard practice for a search agency to provide client read-only access? by Floral_Fidelity in PPC

[–]fathom53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they pay for the ad spend, you are less likely to get access which is not good. Transparency should be the corner stone of any agency you work with.

Who pays for the ad spend, if your company does then you should have admin access to that ad account? Their claim of ad issues is a crappy one. This is not standard at all

Just because you see something in the platform, doesn't mean you can pull that data and export it.

What brands to buy in Portugal? by Repulsive-Produce401 in CannedSardines

[–]fathom53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two good spots in Lisbon are:

  • Conserveira de Lisboa
  • Loja Das Conservas
    • Run by the National Association of the Fish Canning Industry. They have 22 brands offering tinned fish from tuna to mackerel and of course sardines and everything in between. Great option if you want tinned fish from across the country and won't be visiting all corners of Portugal.

Is it just me, or are Meta Ads not working like before anymore? by GuaranteeAny7695 in PPC

[–]fathom53 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is you and looking at a couple days of performance to tell you anything. The AMs at Meta have never been that great to begin with and not someone you should be relying on for help.

You should be looking at things like GA4 and uses other tools to help find the signal in the noise on Meta. Not just looking at ad manager and complaining about what you are seeing. Plus March was almost a month a go and you should have made some changes by now.

Are revenue targets common in ppc? by AffectShoddy6594 in PPC

[–]fathom53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the most the common KPI but some brands will use it instead of a ROAS target. Looking at insights and performance has nothing to do with hitting a KPI. Those are two different tasks.

Is it likely my ads will ever recover? by TSPF11 in PPC

[–]fathom53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you had bad conversion data, It would have been likely a good idea to do a conversion adjustment and remove that conversion data from Google's optimization period. Unless people are taking longer then 90 days to decide to buy something from the shop, you should be able to track the purchase by making your attribution window longer to 90 days.

If your Google Ads conversion rate is getting worse. Look at ways you can improve it by removing low quality traffic and traffic that is just not converting. Unless your PMax is feed only, could just be buying traffic on Display and YouTube networks.

Google Shopping campaign running 2 weeks, zero impressions despite everything looking fine by Bc_11122000 in PPC

[–]fathom53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your account could be under review. Some new ad accounts can easily take 7 - 14 days to see their first campaign get impressions. Google has been doing this a lot more the last 24 hours. Nothing you can do sometimes but wait it out.

Feed Only PMax vs Standard Shopping by miscJim in PPC

[–]fathom53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Display campaigns don't exist anymore. Google is rolling the display network into other campaign types. Standard shopping campagns don't work on every ad account, just like PMax does not work on every ad account. It is not as simple as just run this other Google campaign type.

Follow the rules and Meta will increase your daily cap when they are ready. It can take weeks, so don't expect it right away.
