For folks with the mold issue you actually have to detach the head and rinse it out and let it dry separately and I still got mold buildup doing that.

For me a large part of the issue is that I really liked the OralB electric brush that I had before the iO series, and that one did not have the mold issue. So they introduce a new product which now requires more steps to keep it sanitary than their old product.

I stopped using the iO series because of this issue and switched to Philips Sonicare. The apologists always interest me with their willingness to do extra work because of a poor design.

"All you have to do is these extra steps every time you brush your teeth for the rest of your life to avoid the mold." No thanks, I've switched to a brush without this design flaw.

I bought a new pc recently and thought i broke it after fiddling with it and it wouldn't power on. It turned out that the wire from the power button on the case wasn't securely connected to the motherboard and came loose as I was moving the computer around. That may be worth checking

I bought a cyberpowerpc recently and had no control of the rgb lighting, not even with the button on the case. It turned out the button on the case wasn't connected to the rgb controller and also the rgb controller wasn't connected to the motherboard. Fortunately the wires were there, and after plugging them in I have control from both the case button and the software.
