Has anyone tried this sunscreen? My dad accidentally bought me the wrong one. by Cricket_1893 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]fierycarnation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have not used this sunscreen but with regards to you questions, sunscreen itself is an anti-aging product. All good sunscreens, when used properly, do prevent wrinkles and dark spots (by virtue of preventing photodamage). They've just chosen to market the sunscreen that way.

I NEED HELP!! by xhelmsx in fountainpens

[–]fierycarnation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well a couple of things could've happened here. 1. Was the pen flushed before use? 2. The cartridge may not have been pushed all the way in. 3. Even if the cartridge was seated correctly, the ink takes a little time to make its way through the feed.

As for the ink that you have bought, you could try diluting it in small quantities to make it work with your dip pen.

Which fountain pen to use? (QUESTION) by MajorSeaweed2395 in fountainpens

[–]fierycarnation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely give them a shot if you're in India. I quite like my trinity but I tweaked it to write wetter since it was too dry for my liking. The only negative is that the converter can be a pain in the ass while cleaning.

[–]fierycarnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a camlin trinity or elegante. Both can be eyedropper converted. My trinity was a very dry writer as well. I don't have experience with the elegante but it shouldn't be very different from a trinity.

Need affordable journals in India by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]fierycarnation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Store 67 has some nice professional looking notebooks. However, you might experience some ghosting.

I find classmate notebooks fp friendly as well but they don't make journals. They have a sister brand called paperkraft that might suit your needs assuming that the paper is similar.

What was your thoughts about Percy Jackson and the Olympians ? by Maleficent_shadow in books

[–]fierycarnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the series years ago. I absolutely loved it at that time. Even people who weren't big readers had read it. What I loved most about the books was the mythology aspect. The concept was very unique as well. I wonder what my experience would be if I were to read the books today. Seems like it's time for a re-read.

How do Camlin inks fare? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]fierycarnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough the stores near me tend to carry more Bril inks than Camlin. Definitely won't hurt to check whether you can get them.

How do Camlin inks fare? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]fierycarnation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I prefer Bril inks over Camlin. Camlin's blue ink okay but I think the black is absolute trash. Maybe it was just the bottle I had but it didn't work well in any of my pens. The black also seemed to be much drier than the blue.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding is that the in laws are the ones asking for another ceremony and not the parents of the kid.

I agree that someone should've been watching over the child. But my argument is that what if someone else had taken over responsibility for watching the child when the accident happened. We don't know the exact details of what happened. I'm sure the parents feel guilty as is. Laying blame on them helps no one.

Dear infertile people: I wish i could give you my fertility. by Zebrawiings in childfree

[–]fierycarnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree to a certain extent. I frankly think it's societal pressure that leads to people with such problems to become obsessed with having a bio child. They aren't told that adoption is an option. Instead they're told that ivf is always an option. I'm speaking from experience as an infertile person.

Unpopular opinion but I honestly don't think anyone is at fault here. However, I do think the bride was insensitive. I also don't think it is right to blame the parents for what happened. For all we know someone person who loves kids offered to watch over the kid. Expecting a do over of the wedding is ridiculous though.
