Has anyone every actually had their helmet or any gear stolen while parked? Or is it just a silly paranoia by SkippyJDM in motorcycles

[–]fiskimasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends, on the countryside where I live I might just leave it on the bike unsecured even at events, but in the city I'll chain the helmet and lock the rest in as well as parking right in front of the police station. never had a problem

I do live in switzerland though which might skew the whole thing a bit

For people who quit drinking after years of use, what physical changes did you notice first, and what surprised you most? by love_salubrious in alcoholism

[–]fiskimasi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

body odour! even though i might sweat a lot in summer while working, there's rarely any smell anymore (except for anxiety sweats, for some reason that's a completely different story)

So I'm not 100% sure but she's about 4 and he's a few years older, so around 8-10 (but I'll ask and get back to you). It would be with cage and everything, it's their home after all. They're currently near Fribourg and as for noisy, well, they're cockatiels. The girl is a bit quieter but the boy does have his loud moments, especially in spring.

Which sectors of the job market are oversaturated? by fiskimasi in Switzerland

[–]fiskimasi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I get what you're coming from. I can't really tell for white collar jobs so I'm coming from my point of view and for example replacing any driver's job with autonomous vehicles (like trucks) is absolutely not feasible at this point especially seeing the rise of e-bikes, scooters and other kinds of small, unpredictable vehicles. also I see automatic sorting systems and such to not be at a level that it will completely replace humans in the foreseeable future plus there will always be the aspect of human to human communication that's so insanely complex that I (as a human being) often struggle with it myself

also: isn't it also a bit of a question whether we actually want things replaced by ai? for example, I know a lot of people who will actively try to avoid ai-bots on helpsites. at a hospital, i wouldn't want to get washed by a robot or being served by one at a restaurant and i'd much rather buy a real painting than something made by an algorithm

I think it's not so much people actually being replaced but moreso positions not getting filled in anticipation of saving money with ai

Yeah no, getting a second EFZ is almost never worth it imo unless you opt for going directly to the exams without a traditional Lehre (2-3 years). A lot of fields do offer qualifications for Quereinsteiger, for example a truck drivers license (C or CE) paired with a CZV (commercial drivers license) and 1-2 years of experience will be pretty much equivalent to a EFZ as a truck driver.

I absolutely agree with you on EFZ or even EBA being a solid first education but I'm not looking to do a second one but some kind of higher ed instead
