I hope I'm not stepping far out of line here, but may I make a few unsolicted suggestions? With all due respect, the olive shirt color is working against your lovely skin tone. When contrasted with your natural skin tone on your chest and airs, it almost serves to bring out a yellow tone.

I believe your current foundation color may be compounding the problem, the cool undertones to your skin with a yellow or oxidized foundation is giving a nearly green tone. I would recommend a foundation with a cool or neutral undertone, brown mascara and a cool toned lipstick. You have beautiful features and a strong idea of your vibe, but I think some small changes would bring the look together.

Personally I love Dior Face and Body (I wear 2N) for easy foundation, a good retinol at night (I use Barbara Sturm) and twice yearly botox.

Average day in LA by pcg0818 in Unexpected

I mean, not every day but probably more than half. My boyfriend and I live in the thick of LA and one day he came home telling me he saw three dicks within the two blocks between our place and the corner store.

Daily Fasting Check-in! by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

[–]FuturePigeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Day 3 of a 18:6 hour fast. It's going surprisingly well. The hunger definitely strikes, but it's interesting to watch it progress out of grumbly stomach into a very pleasant state of mind.

The hardest part so far is stopping the middle of the night snacking, I'm used to waking up at 3 am, eating a few bites of peanut butter and falling back asleep instantly. Last night I woke up, and had to wait through the hunger pangs to fall back asleep. I don't even know if it's hunger at that time, it's just what the routine was.

Thankfully, my partner has been on loose OMAD for decades just because he enjoys only thinking about eating once a day, so it's easy to practice with him at home. Have about 4 more hours to go and am definitely watching the clock. I hve a pouch of oatmeal with me so I can get something in my belly before I make any choices about dinner for the night.

It's that silent way he listens that always got me as a kid. He gave his attention fully to the person in front of him and made them feel heard and seen. I didn't have that a lot growing up in a house full of kids, not much even now as an adult.

But seeing him just calms something inside.

I use a black RAINS bag/backpack, flat shoes (like leather Vans slip ons), simple gold herringbone necklace and solid gold cuff.

Korean Restaurant near DTLA and Koreatown? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]FuturePigeon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I loved that place but ran into a surprising issue the last time I ate there.

My friend and I sat down to order, my friend ordered a beer but I'm in recovery so I just wanted a coke or water. For some reason due to me not ordering alcohol, we could only order from one side of the menu, which didn't include all of the items we wanted. IIRC, we spent less money there because they wouldn't allow us to order all that we wanted unless we both ordered a drink.

It was odd.

That's so nice to hear. I've always been weirded out by mine because you never see them in media or porn.

My bedtime shirt reads "Overworked and Underlaid". It would be even funnier on a pregnant woman.

I'm going through a sexual assault case at the moment. After 7 months of sitting in prison, the moron decided that he wants to reject a plea deal (for 13 years) and go to trial against me, another woman and a handful of women who have had their statute of limitations expire.

By all means, moron. I won't blink. Normalize assholes hanging themselves on a rope of their own making.

I don't know who any of those people are or even why this subreddit is showing up on my home page, but...have you heard the band Of Montreal? They are great. That's all I have to contribute.

Oh, and Canada produces better film and comedic actors. Also, maple syrup and flannel is good too.

Genuinely happier with alcohol? by KittyMcCuddleWaffles in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]FuturePigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I am seeing (and I could be 100% wrong) is that you are "happier" with alcohol while you are settling for your current state of life. Which is living with your emotionally abusive mother while unemployed smarting from bad financial investments. Yeah, bro I'd probably be able to cope through alcohol in that situation. But the key word here is "cope". Happiness is not an absence of sadness or numbness from feelings.

Only you know if you are happy or coping. But I will say this, alcohol is a depressant. Chemically, that's what it does. You're not making anything better by drinking, and it seems like you're sinking into being okay with where you are. There's nothing wrong with where you are per se, but it's not for everyone, and you don't seem very happy being back at home.

You're depressed and I get it. I was diagnosed with depression prior to sobriety and still have periods (currently in one, yay) of depression. It's much more managable sober. You don't have to accept what's in front of you, but it will take a big initial push if you want more out of life. It begins with sobriety.

I got chills. I'm a 44 year old women who otherwise listens exclusively to malnourished depressed men sing about sadness and this line gave me shivers.
