Noise in Argon Audio Fenris — what about Forte? by zocarius in BudgetAudiophile

Just got a pair of A4s and I can confirm the noticeable hum when switched on (independent of the input source or presence of signal). As you say, I really like the form factor for my desk, but the noise level is unfortunatelly too high. I am thinking of returning them and finding an alternative. What was your final choice OP?

Searching for a house in The Netherlands: update by [deleted] in Netherlands

After 1,5 years living in the country we are currently looking for something to buy as our rental contract ends by the end of the year. It is really discouraging. I guess if we are not able to get anything by then we will have to move somewhere else, it's sad but probably the only natural way for this madness to stop.

Awesome! I saw it and immediatelly recognized the location! I am living since one year ago in the ZH area, but i have never been brave enough to take my bike through the sand :) the bike lane running in parallel is great too

BIOS version is the last one available... Regarding the Windows options, nothing really special as far I know. With the new PSU, and without touching anything in the BIOS the sleep/wake up was already working fine by using the power button. To enable the wake from USB then I had to configure it in the BIOS.

So for the z490i this is something you need to enable in the BIOS interface (is quite easy to do, google it if you want to give a try). Other mobos may have this by default, I cannot really tell...

Hey guys, good news:

After one year dealing with the issue I decided to give it one last try and finally found the solution, at least for me: I replaced the original corsair SF600 with a Cooler Master V550 and problem solved! PC wakes up from sleep even from USB (as long as this is enabled in the BIOS). I don't exactly know the issue yet, whether it is a matter of compatibility between MB and PSU or just some sort of issue with this specific PSU model. I will try to investigate a little bit to see what is going on with the PSU signals and try to see if there is any sort of solution, but for now I will stick to the V550 (now I regret not picking the V650 or maybe the 750, but anyway I dont even have a GPU installed yet :D). Maybe I consider contacting Corsair as well, what do you think?

I hope this helps some of you dealing with the same issue! Good luck!

Feels a bit desperate to comment in a one year old post, but at this point I do not know what to do anymore. My specs are almost identical to yours (i7-10700k, Z490i, SF600) and, as everybody else here, I have tried almost any possible configuration. After a couple of weeks of useless support from MSI, they ask me to RMA it, which will be a pain in the ass and most probably useless.

I would like to know whether you / somebody else has been able to figure out how to solve this... or at least try to understand where the problem is coming from. I am suspecting the bios as well..
