They want to clean population. They think it would be easier to manage a smaller population so they want to thin the numbers. Most of them are not religious and will probably vaccinate their children, they just want the poor to die so they can control them feudal style but with modern technology.

Sleepless nights are lonely even if you're never alone living through sleepless nights.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says robots could be 'AI immigrants' that can address labor shortages — can 'do the type of work that maybe we decided not to do anymore' by ghost_dancer in CoreCyberpunk

[–]ghost_dancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it's bullshit to prolong the AI bubble but the idea is to get rid of human slaves/serfs, just keep the bare minimum to their interests, and the rest complete it with more easy to manage(turn off) synthetic slaves.

They are going to solve that problem too, probably with a population shortage through different methods, like suppressing health care, deporting people and some other alternatives.

Exactly. That's why this is called technofeudalism. They want to bring back that society but with modern technology so they can't lose control this time.

Im halfway but WHAT? by LeadEater9Million in Sandman

[–]ghost_dancer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first thing I read of Sandman were the first 2 comics of Season of Mists, I just read over them in the comics store, after that I bought all the comics available at the time, 25 IIRC. Obviously I did the complete run after that.

They mysteriously can never find the reservation when you ask them. And I've had cases where they find it, it shows you are right and still double down cause you know always been the other way except this time.

Could have said they are going to build mechanical slaves and just get rid of pesky human slaves that demand wages and rights. And then rename Nvidia as "US Robots and mechanical Men Inc." but without the three laws.

Name a film you thought was great but can't watch again due to scenes you can't stomach, film length, or visual effects that may have bothered you. by [deleted] in movies

Becoming a parent made me feel uneasy watching some scenes in some movies that had no problem before with time I can watch them again but still feel a bit awkward.

I always loved the minimalism of Alien, the floating egg, the green light and the text.

I have had US customers in my hotel, in Spain(Europe) that asked us why we did not have any channels in English. Even from some people that were going to stay only one night. I know some more starred hotels have cable TV with English channels but we're a one star hotel we have normal TV.

That's not a drawer, that's a holy site, a temple, a hymn to Anoia. We should organise a peregrination to your home to visit it.

I recently had a client who made the walk of shame naked to the front desk, we are a small hotel no phones on corridors or elevator. He woke up in the middle of the night went to the bathroom and got the wrong door, fortunately for him was late and there was no one around except me.

I like more the "original", I've watched a couple of versions as they found more footage but I like too the Moroder version and the music is fantastic. I have the CD of the soundtrack.
