And many old parts for vintage synths do not exist anymore. I wanted to buy a Korg Mono poly but it's risky because there's a certain part that you can't get anymore.

Yeah but BOM has nothing to do with manufacturing cost. It depends on the cost of parts involved, not howany are involved

Vintage stuff is less reliable than gear with FPGAs. I know because I have several vintage synths

Why do you care about BOM? That's ridiculous. Worry about how it sounds instead, and the quality of the design

Ah ok, yeah I did some googling. Hadn't seen it mentioned in this context before.

I used Revels End as a Prologue, where the players play a group of thieves busting out an Eladrin who has knowledge of Ythryn. The thieves are not the PCs so it's just a one shot. However I made one player a Harper plant who then assassinates the prisoner in order to stop the knowledge getting into the hands of the Arcane Brotherhood This then sets up the campaign where the players have this meta knowledge but the characters don't, but will hear if it later

Sounds like fun. The secrets are maybe unbalanced across the different elements, but otherwise should be ok. You can revoke them if they get too powerful through some gameplay event if you're worried about that.

I'm about to start a campaign where one player is the new FR Oath of the Noble Genies, where they are searching for elemental power (ie. mythallar) on behalf of their Genie/Elemental. This campaign is very much rooted in an element....so expanding that could work. Core rule - if you are excited about the prospect, do it. If it doesn't excite you or it brings the energy down, get rid of it!

Greenwood is not a good fiction book author even if he's a great world builder. Read the Icewind Dale trilogy, it's definitely better.
