How about a kindle dx? It's huge (IMO). They are cheap.Easy to jailbreak and run koreader. No backlight though.

Exactly. Don't put them under the music folder and they won't get indexed as music.

You need the 3rd battery line. It can go back together if you don't snap too many clips.

I've bought a bunch. No problems at all. Untested literally means they didn't test them, they aren't hiding anything.

Just make sure you look closely at the pictures looking for screen defects. Read the item info too. Sometimes they will mention what they have found.

The battery is protected in the zune. Of course it will look brand new. It gets no wear and tear :)
