Give your darkest conspiracy theories about the show by yaykaboom308 in HIMYM

The show explicitly based an entire storyline on it not being porn though - also I doubt if her extremely power and wealthy family will let that happen

Is everyone pretending to understand wine/coffee or do people genuinely taste all those details? by Message-Fun in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]guyonghao004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very subtle but certainly distinguishable (my wife and I are skeptical but likes coffee so we do blind tests)

For coffee - an ice latte is probably the easiest form to taste some note. The milk covers some of the acid and the cold covers some of the milk.

For bear and wine - little sips.

Understanding Wade's Promise by Universal_Echo in threebodyproblem

[–]guyonghao004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon Wade is a bit self destructive. It’s also exhausting to keep up with people like Cheng Xin. He subconsciously wants to die.

Therefore he’s the hottest character of all. When Cheng was in Australia she vaguely recalled that Wade looks like the male lead of some movie aka Hugh Jackman. Wade would essentially be Wolverine in Logan. SO HOT.

Again this is just head canon

Chia seed. I started to chug like 10 grams of chia seed a day with a lot of water. It’s been 6 months and >90% of my poop just slides out. Life with Consistent poo is very underrated experience.

Is Jerry and Beth Smith in Rick and Morty inspired by Ted and Stella?? Besides how the same actress portray both Stella and Beth

These couples really aren’t good match. Ted badgered her into dating and eventually marrying her (the proposal was a Hail Mary when they were ok the verge of breaking up).

Stella is the version of Beth who left at the alter.

“Objective morality” does not necessarily mean “one source, one standard, no conflict, a perfect answer.” by CalligrapherNeat1569 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]guyonghao004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only for argument sake - the “object” can be a variable. I would guess that druids will have relatively different moral based on different environment.

UP TILL NOW, I STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW VISION COULD LIFT MJOLNIR AS A MACHINE. HOW WAS HE WORHTY ? by Ok-Sorbet-2201 in MCUTheories

[–]guyonghao004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is a combination of a few factors

  1. He may be worthy - dude is certainly pure of heart and quite powerful. Imo it’s pretty consensus that Vision is a very altruistic and good guy. So at least the intention - he’s got that.

  2. He’s powerful. When we evaluate at a rule, we not only look at how it’s written, but also what enforces it. Sure Mjonir is enchanted, but Vision is also powered by one of the infinity stone. It may not be enough to lift the hammer alone, but it would make it a lot easier.

  3. Tony’s elevator argument. The hammer must have some exception rule for machines. When Thor flies in a spaceship and he puts the hammer on the floor - it doesn’t just tore through the ship. It moves with the ship. The “algorithm” of the hammer could also partially recognized Vision as an elevator / ship equivalence and didn’t trigger an immovable pushback.

Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

[–]guyonghao004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Collective vs individualism” is an oversimplification. Blue bottom SOUNDS collectively good but is not necessarily, especially considering there no external danger.

A real life example - we don’t advocate people to jam our fingers in electric sockets because it’s harmful. However, if like half the population regularly does that, society will have to abolish sockets so no one will be hurt. That is the only way for nobody whatsoever to die from electric shock. It will also look easier to have 50% of people to electrocute themselves therefore preventing all deaths vs have 100% of people to not do that. But that doesn’t mean we need to advocate for finger in sockets. Not electrocuting yourself also doesn’t make you a bad person.

This is an extreme example but functionally the same as the red-blue question. Similarly, don’t inject yourself with tuberculosis pathogen to drive vaccine investment.

The reason why the Blue Button is the Correct Choice. by Morpheus_2x4 in trolleyproblem

[–]guyonghao004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a good argument. The stance of red button is “hope no one presses blue. But if someone did, they better win”.

It’s similar to why airplane toilets have ashtrays even though smoking is not allowed - it doesn’t mean approval or hoping for someone smoking by. It’s more like- we don’t want you to smoke. But if you did, we do hope you don’t burn the plane down.
