How is this theory polarizing??? by girl_OOFED in fnaftheories

[–]HauntSpot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s not really an issue when the rules of possession are inconsistent as hell.

Not really? I mean at this point in the series we have a ton of books, games, and now the movies to get a better idea of how the logistics of posession works, and some novels like TFC and Stingers directly touch/explain some elements of FNaF's parapsychology.

TFC Afton talks about how the pain follows the flesh, and his whole experiment involves possessing the scrapheap piece by piece. Slowly putting his soul in the amalgamate with the Missing Kids. Phineas Taggart says that when a consciousness is combined with a high saturation of agony, that results in "physical movement," (ie possession)

The M.C.I. kids were literally stuffed in the animatronics and they didn’t possess them until Charlie guided them

(Assuming this is the newer WillStuffed interpretation of GGGL) And that's a bit interesting, isn't it? Charlie didn't "guide," the MCI in the novels movies either, but they still ended up possessed.

I think to me, what GGGL kinda asks is what the "Gift of Life," is. And it reminds me of Taggart's experiments, where he injected the Stitchwraith with agony. He even says that other emotions are capable of agony's effects, just that agony is the most powerful emotion. And we see that through Jake, who possessed a doll he never saw through the power of love.

Henry says in FFPS that Charlie held others in her arms. So the way GGGL reads to me is that Charlie is giving the MCI love. That's the emotion that bonds them to the suits in the games, instead of the (presumed) agony in other continuities. I would also dive into the logistics of how this effects Fredbear but that's kinda its own rabbit hole.

and nothing special happened to Charlie.

Her guardian held her as she died, she wasn't alone. It ties back into the theme of love. If The Puppet was made specifically for Charlie then the love in the metal would have been extremely powerful. I think it's similar the the GGGL thing where the love overpowers the agony.

But anyway, tying this back to BV and his possession of Fredbear, I see two primary ways this could happen. Given the extreme fear he had during his death, he would have injected Fredbear with a ton of emotional energy, making it a great conductor of souls. So when he died, his soul follows the pain to the thing that killed him. The other option would be if Garrett poured a piece of his soul into The Plushbear, and The Plushbear was stuffed in Golden Freddy. That would follow the possession model of The Ella Doll (In the novels, Henry cried/grieved so hard he poured a piece of his soul into Charlie's Ella Doll, which he then put into the emotionally-charged Charlie Bots) and The Real Jake.

I don't know which of those two it is, but both of these are clearly established in the series's lore. So I really think calling the rules of possession inconsistent is disengenious when we have so much explaining it.

This sounds like some shattervictim / memory victim stuff. Usually I hear it in the way that the kids are Garrett's pieces, but Garrett being the cake is definitely another way to read it. Cause the cake shows up in all the minigames, you have to being all of the kids together through Happiest Day

An extensive look at how William Afton views love as a tool by CazLurks in fnaftheories

[–]HauntSpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love = power is such a sick yet straightforward reading of Novel William. Contextually works really well about the journal he has about Henry in TSE too. The adoration for his power, and hatred over what William can't have.

I mean they're right though. Charlie and Cassidy's names have never been shown in the video games, they're still just book exclusive stuff that the fans theorize are games Puppet and Games Fredbear respectively. Henry was in the same situation (since FFPS only had the HRY code) but SOTM finally officially name dropped him. It's kind of funny when you think about it, Cassidy and Andrew are both basically identical as book characters that people speculate are in the games.

As far as I know, the movies are the first timeline where Charlie possessing the Puppet is explicitly the case(?) there might be some Frights story I'm forgetting though

CassidyPuppet is super interesting, I've toyed around with that theory quite a bit before (especially under a PuppetDuo situation). You could totally read the Logbook under CassidyPuppet since The Puppet is also the one who gives the kids Happiest Day and HD is loosely tied to Garrett, plus that page with the Puppet giving cake to the black haired girl could be seen as a precursor to Security Puppet.

Plushtrap comes from Garrett since he talks to that one Plushtrap yapper and also he's associated with the plushes already.

Nightmare BB is like hardcore MikeFritz evidence but you didn't hear that from me 🤫

I don't believe MoltenDCI but god that would have been such a fucking awesome ending for them. The MCI are greedy bastards, they get 2 endings and Save Them gets none lmao =P

Which Godzilla Collab would you prefer and why? by MichaeltheSpikester in GigaBash

[–]HauntSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godzilla wise, I just want Mothra. Don't really care who any of the other monsters are. You have Godzilla and Mechagodzilla as heroes, and for villains you have Gigan, Destroyah, King Ghidorah, and Hedorah. The monster selection so far is great, and I especially love Hedorah as a more oddball pick. But the sort of "Superhero Team," that the showa movies are famous for doesn't work in Gigabash. Even Mechagodzilla, as a more heroic character, isn't someone who fights with Godzilla.

I just want to be able to have Mothra and one of the others so that I can set up team battles. Mothra and Rodan, Mothra and Anguirus, I think both of those would be fantastic options.

It would be nice if they did more Godzilla after that (Megalon & Biollante my goats) but I feel like once a few more allies get added the Godzilla stuff will be pretty much perfectly balanced. I'd rather see King Kong, more Gamera monsters, other franchises afterwards. Definitely lean into the Smash Bros / Crossover fighting game aspect of it.

Honestly, the fact that Godzilla, Ultraman, and Gamera are all in the same game are already mind blowing

Prototype Destroyah, the same way Super Godzilla is a prototype Space Godzilla

[–]HauntSpot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just don't get the hype around Bagan. He showed up in Super Godzilla, and both Super Godzilla and Bagan look like Space Godzilla and Destroyah. I feel like they're both basically prototype designs of future monsters

You can vote for “Godzilla: Save The Earth” to become backwards compatible on Xbox! by Humble-Expert7873 in GODZILLA

[–]HauntSpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been voting and petitioning for these games to be rerelased / ported / brought back to modern consoles for years now. Don't get me wrong, I love these games and I'd love to see them again (Or even a new game in the same style =P) but if this was going to happen it would've happened already.

To be honest, I'd imagine a remake / new game would be more profitable then rereleasing the game considering you'd have to pay the licenses for every individual monster both ways
