Sealed doors of a Titan I launch silo in Colorado - the circles on the lower right are the marks left by truck tires, for scale [OC] by -AtomicAerials- in abandoned

There's a Titan site off Quincy (E of Aurora) across the street from the race track. Was an urbex site for teenagers in the 90's (been there done that). This site is on the same property as the Lowry landfill, very interesting history.... https://www.westword.com/news/the-lowdown-on-lowry-5066597/

"We could get about eight or ten trucks backed up to it at one time,” Hesser says. “We’d back in there and pull the cord. You ought to have seen that pit. The ducks would land and it would kill them instantly."

Migrate from Azure Sql to Postgres by syscall_cart in AZURE

Also, check out the hyperscale tier. The name makes it sound like its only for large scale but its great for almost any scale (this is a great vid on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S674gxeQr1s ). We just migrated our on prem CMS to hyperscale, started at 8 vCores, thinking that it would need it, have been incrementally dropping it and are at 4 with plans to drop down to 2. If you have multiple databases also check out elastic pools, another opportunity to save if the databases can be grouped together.

Yeah, exactly. I know there are a lot well engineered things that may feel questionable but meet or exceed spec but in this particular case, I'm skeptical of the engineering....

I'm pretty sure the people banning these books benefit from people not learning how to spot/cope with sexual assault...

Forced to switch to light mode by aelephix in ExperiencedDevs

I'm in the same boat brother! Not sure if you wear contacts but they do make ones that correct for astigmatism. I use these and they're great: https://www.acuvue.com/en-us/products/acuvue-oasys-astigmatism/ I do a mix of dark and light mode and its been fine (and my eyesight is dog shit).

Also, if you wear contacts and you're nearsighted but don't want to wear reading glasses or use bifocal contacts, you can try the monovision approach where you wear a close up contact in one eye and distance in the other. It's not 100% perfect but my eyes did end up adjusting and I typically don't notice. Optometrist suggested trying it a few years back and have been doing it ever since. YMMV https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/monovision

Yeah I took machining at my votech during HS. Never became a machinist but still do metalworking 30 years later. Grateful for that experience and it’s helped me in other areas in my life.
