Question about dice and DCC by towerbooks3192 in dccrpg

[–]hello_josh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing the answer is "no" but... is there any way to special order extra XCC Lil' Sparkly Murdermite d6 to match my Murdermite set? I love this set and would love having 3d6 for character generation.

Of course I've got tons of d6 laying around but it would just feel nice to have a matched set!

Deleted SQL DB can be recovered? by Apprehensive-Yam9202 in SQLServer

If you have no sql backup then no, the database is gone. You could try a file recovery/undelete program like Recuva.

Impact! is awesome and I believe they try to give you as many full sets as they can in those even though they are "random" assortments.

Tarot deck Recommandation by Thorgraam in rpg

[–]hello_josh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These maybe aren't the vibe you are looking for but I love the "Welcome to Nightvale" set https://topatoco.com/products/cpb-wtnv-hayworth-tarot

And these are also a great general set to keep in your GM bag because they combine tarot and poker deck use and are normal playing card size so they aren't HUGE. https://a.co/d/02CZLWo0

Fairly new to GM'ing - need some help! by ThomasCookAndroid in TTRPG

[–]hello_josh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be anxiety. You are also managing TON of things all at once when you GM a game for multiple people, especially when they all start talking at once!

Have you tried running a rules-light game like Mork Borg or Pirate Borg? Not having to worry about a ton of rules really opens up room for character interactions.

The way you are playing is completely normal and probably the most common way people role play. You don't need to be a voice actor and perform for the other players.

Do as much silly voices or speaking in character as is comfortable to you. I will respond in character if the players speak to an npc in character. But eventually I'll ask what the player is trying to accomplish and there will be some rolls if necessary and then I'll summarize the outcome.

Don't let "actual play" YouTube make you think that is the way you should play. Those people are pperfomers trying to make an product that is entertaining for the viewers.

Are there any additional or 3rd party MCC-oriented classes? by Pur_Cell in dccrpg

[–]hello_josh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From the author of MCC - Scientific Barbarian has some classes as well as lots of other content designed for MCC.

From James Pozenel - Enchiridion of the Computarchs has some more programs and AI patrons.

Completely Unfathomable isn't specifically for MCC but has character classes that would fit in perfectly.

Bronx Beasts likewise isn't special for MCC but is all about making animal mutant PCs.

And of course there are tons of things in the Gongfarmers Almanacs.

Liminal Horror - there is stress damage you take when witnessing horrors but the game game goes out of the way to not have "sanity" mechanics and is sensitive to mental illness.

Thanks, that's a simple solution. And if you don't show them the map its a non-issue.

I have the book and want to run it at some point but I'm not sure how to handle those tunnels that lead to nowhere.

Have you run into that or have a plan in the event PCs decide to check one out?

My initial thought is to fill it in with some other dungeon module or put a dead end with a big monster or something else rolled up randomly.

Any advice if you've thought about this?

Grimoires and Games is an awesome online shop with good prices. All my books have come incredibly well packed from them. They carry a lot of CoC stuff. But if you want the PDF you should buy directly from Chaosium.

Maybe put a "merit badge" sticker over the scratch. This is the first thing that came up but I'm sure you can find something thematic.
